| Hiya,
I am going to be travelling over to the Catalan match in a couple of weeks for the first time and was just wondering if anyone could advise me what resort / accomadation other fans are staying at?
Also is there any transport i.e. Train / Bus from Girona airport to the resort or is it best to hire a car?
Thanks in advance

if you go on www.catalansporttours.com you'll find a good bit of info there, they do transfers from Girona, I think a lot of our fans take in a weeks holiday on the Spanish coast in Lloret de Mar, I'm sure you will get some response from them and they may even have space on buses etc. that they've booked with catalansporttours.
General train and bus services i the region are good during the daytime, but seem to stop running quite early at night, I think before 10pm from memory, unless of course you pre-book one of the sporttour buses.
I did it a different way last year and flew to Perpignan and stayed in a hotel there for a couple of days, also spent a couple of days in Carcasonne, they are both really nice places for the most part (as is the whole region), that's of course if you get chance to add a couple of days to your break, it seems a pity to go all that way just to watch an hour and a half's rugby, although last year after that win, just being there to watch it would definitely have been enough!

| Barcelona is only about an hour from Girona, my dad and I went last year and it was great. 2hrs from Barcalona to Perpignan. Parking in Barcalona is expensive though, park outside and travel in.
Enjoy!!!!!!

| This year will be the first one we've missed, but previously we've stayed in Lloret and had a whale of a time.

Barcelona is really good Caz and definitely worth the diversion, it can be done by train from Girona, you can get the airport bus from Girona Airport to Girona town, then the train to Barcelona from Girona (I think you can also get a bus to Barcelona from Girona airport).
Did Barcelona by train the time before last, also took in Figueres (Salvador Dali birthplace) on that trip, did think about hiring a car but it worked quite well with the train. The only downside with the train is like all public transport over there, you can't seemingly travel anywhere after 10pm, which if you've got connections to make does take a bit of planning.

| Lots of Cas fans are staying at the Royal Beach Hotel in LLoret. We have hired a car from Doyouspain, which is very cheap at £32 Friday till Monday to get from Girona to Lloret and back. There is a coach available that leaves from outside the Royal Beach for the transfer from Lloret to Perpignan for the match. You have to book in advance with Catalans Sports Tours. This is my third trip and wouldn't miss it!!!!
Come on you FOOOORDS!!!!!!!!
