Hearing strong rumours that Paul March, the Hunslet coach, and Gary Thornton, the Castleford Academy supremo, could be set to swap roles for the 2011 season. How has Thornton done in his first season at Cas, and would it be a mistake to let him go and bring in March?

Why would Hunslet let March go when he's basically got them promoted this season! I hope they stick with him for next season and give him the opportunity to ply his trade in NL1 (providing they win one of their two remaining games).

dont know weather to read anything into this,but I saw Westermen at the semi final yesterday along with mcgoldrick (spelling) and im not sure but i think shenton too,couldnt really tell as he has a cap on...

could have been something to do with mathers,who knows.

maybe cas players are different,but i dont know of many players or fans for that matter who will travel all that way to watch 2 different teams? its not like the game had an effect on cas?

personally, as much as i like the lad i dont think we will sign westerman...from what smith is saying he pretty much has next seasons team sorted,and has recently promoted a load of younger lads to the first team.

I can't see this happening, never heard of clubs swapping coaches before.
I have to say Gary is doing a great job and hope he stays, as far as March is concerned, he also seems to be doing a good job at Hunslet, it's really good to see them doing well once again after what seems to be a few years in the doldrums.
It's a pity Leeds City Council can't give them a proper ground though, I do feel sorry for them playing at the athletics stadium.
