Aye I got a message about it on facebook from CTSC last night. Fingers crossed...

It would appear to be formality and the only thing that could hold things up would be the parking issues raised. Even then, I would expect that the planning committee would just impose a condition of some sort on the approval. There is no point holding the whole application up over the parking issue. There is of course no urgency as such any more, other than for the bragging rites, and I am sure we will have many pages of threads on the subject... unfortunately!

I make no apologies for my scepticism but this is old news they told us this in January, and like IA says what's the point if we don't have the funding (RW words ) .

Whoa binks, hang on, don't put words in my mouth, I think there is every point in securing planning permission but I was just commenting that it would no longer appear to be holding anything up. So if the planning committee did feel it was necessary to defer the the decision (which is the worst I can see happening) to the next committee meeting if they felt the parking issue was unresolved, that is no big deal.

As regards GH - if PP is not obtainable building is impossible..ever, if funding is not currently available building may become possible later. We don't want to be submitting a license bid without both.

You are correct that in January we were told the date of 7th April, but at the "Meet the Directors Night" we were informed that it would be late April ( meeting date 28th) when the plans would go to the Committee.

Now we are confirmed back to the 7th which seems to indicate any concerns have been addressed and the desicion should be a formality.

This stadium isn't going to happen

After the RFL's performance over the last month or so the stadium doesn't need to happen.

As long as we keep our heads above water we should be OK staying at WR comparing with the RFL's latest agenda's. It wouldn't bother me if we stayed at WR and I still have concerns that - if we did move to GH - it could be finacial suicide for us (ala Salford). I'm still not convinced Wakey moving to NM will be financally successful either.

However I to think the RFL have really damaged our sport and damaged some clubs having them chasing a dream. Cas have spent good money on the stadium dream whereas some clubs have not spent a penny on the stadium dream and just sat back being able to concentrate on the playing front.
This proves that SL clubs do not operate on a level playing field.
