Some of the comments on this thread have irritated me though; there certainly is a lot of needle between Cas and WTW fans, that's all par for the course and good fun, but to suggest that we've been hyper-critical of Owen or 'holier than thou' as some people have put it, is just plain wrong. I like needle, but the overblown sense that everyone is anti-Cas on every issue is just silly and I thought it was ok to challenge that.

Equally, the reason I started posting on the Hull board is because some people insisted on repeating the nonsense that Richard Agar was involved in the drugs scandal/cover-up at their club; plainly he wasn't, so I challenged that.

To be honest Richard Owen's current adventures are the only interesting thing going on.

Back on the Richard Owen subject i think Castleford have handled it well taken action due to the breach of club code of conduct, he should have been home rather than out on the . However he is innocent until proven guilty as was Greg Johnson who played for wakefield last year and if he is found guilty then further action will be required. However the player should still be supported by the club until this time. Also Cas offered martin aspinwall a chance to stay in the game even when he went to prison last year for whatever(not sure what it was) and i hope they do the same for Richard as he is a young lad who's potentially got into a bit of trouble in ponte which knowing a couple of coppers over there happens quite often. There have also been other players involved in scuffles that havent made the press due to other people not being seriously injured.

Agreed, well handled by Cas and it seems to have been taken on board by the player. Hope he learns from this and appreciates that he must watch his behaviour. I hope he has a long and succesful career, he's shown a lot of promise and character in his career so far.

I hope he learns from it aswell, even though im a wakey fan and have been for over 20 years, i really like him as a player. Ian Millward has backed him by allowing us to sign richie mathers on loan, time for him to repay the faith.
