| Quote: Georgie Best on a Bloomer "I suppose your intensive research to conclude that this is fact has included head-to-head analysis of previous game performances of the main protagonists in opposition to each other, combined with those of the missing personnel against the same players. This will also have been done for similar playing conditions and time of year, of course. You will then have calculated the offset in performance and used these data to replicate, by some type of computer modelling system, I suspect, the projected scorelines of the games. I would hope that the information used has been taken from various previous years to compensate for one-off over- and under-performances in the previous encounter that you've used. This, to be honest, sounds like valuable research and I'd dearly love to see the models used and, of course, the raw data collected. Could you post them in response to this comment, please?
Thanks.'"
Anyone that knows anything about the game make an informed judgement about whether a team is in form or not, hth. See it doesn’t have to be that complicated!

"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_39793.jpg |

I don't think too many people are in much doubt as to the fact that the large number of injuries we sustained, especially to the forwards, was the cause of this.
But of course, that's not the point I was discussing. You said that it was a "FACT" (emphasis yours) that "you would of lost all the game you did despite who was playing" [sic].
All I'm asking for is the information that led you to this alleged fact. Unless, of course, you can't back up this rather outlandish claim which would leave you looking rather pathetic.'"
I don’t think you was particularly out of form at the business end of the season. The truth was that you playing harder and more in form teams. For all these injuries you keep moaning about, none of them were hardly star players and a few were covered by loan signing ( that probably performed better than what was injured ). What I’m claiming is that if the regular 17 that played up to Easter was to be playing at the business end you would off still lost the same game in the same manner. [sizeIf you disagree please tell me which games would of gone your way had you had a full 17?
[/size
All considered I really don’t think you was that unlucky with injuries. You have to consider that you are a one trick pony team, I don’t think anyone can deny that. What you fail to mention is the incredible good luck to had with star man Chase barely missing a game all year. Of course you’ll only see it through black and amber glasses and filter out the contrary evidence that doesn’t suite your bias view of the game.

Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds
Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

| All this CT fan false bravado comes from nothing but fear.
WT have finally taken steps to right the wrongs in our house, for decades you've been able to plod along (even when relegated) as CT always had the safety net of having the shambolic neighbors next door. You looked good in comparison as we bumbled from calamity to calamity.
Things have changed at WT and EVERYONE knows it.
The way I see it; there are two types of Cas fan at the moment. Those that admit they're scared of WT & those who are in denial.
We're coming after you!
- For me these games will be our cup finals, every WT fan will admit that! We have a score to settle!

) beat us and do well next season. Trin are only just coming back around so we need to be cautious as to our ambitions too (but iam confident of improvement as we could not regress after last season). By the way Mr Gronkowski trolling is not defined by holding a different opinion to your own. No matter how bad you think it sounds.

Not really...

A discussion forum is where people discuss things fella. You get funny when people dont agree with your opinion and you become a bit precious. Anyway Semi is no longer a SL player and i would be surprised if Cas got him in. You have Owen, Thompson, Dixon, Youngquest who are far better than Tadg.

I don't need to stoop to speculation about what we might and might not have done last season. It was you that came up with the comment about "you would of lost all the game you did despite who was playing" despite STILL giving no good reason at all for why you think this is the case.
If you seriously think we're a one-trick pony team, then you don't know a thing about Cas Tigers - Chase has rightly taken a lot of the limelight (and I suppose that having read the papers and listened to the commentators, all you're doing is recycling the hearsay), but with players like Huby, Arundel, Clark, Orr, Milner, good kicker in Dixon, Emmitt, Owen, Ferres, Walker we've clearly got one or two players who can produce the goods. However, why let facts get in the way of a good soundbyte?
You still can't back up your speculation (labelled as "FACT"icon_wink.gif and you still fail to show that you understand anything about Castleford's performance last year. Your arguments are wafer-thin and simply don't hold up to the lightest of scrutiny. The only player you seem to know even a little about is Rangi Chase, and despite your assertion that we "would of lost all the game you did despite who was playing", you've not given any reason why. Which replacement players do you think were as good as the original squad players, and why?
