Not really - more understanding that these things take time and we need to be patient.
Quote: the_grobs "Not trying to cause trouble here'"
...is usually how the trolling and bickering from you lot starts.
Quote: the_grobs "but find it interesting that it is felt that there is the need for a petition for a development that some of your fans felt had very little obstacles in its way if any.
I could fully understand why it was necessary for NM, but does this move suggest that not everything is going to be as plain sailing as certain Cas fans had thought?'"
I think you might be over-analysing. What's wrong with awareness being raised and the public expressing support for the proposed scheme in advance of a planning application being submitted?

Patient implies time......and I purposely didn't mention timescales in my post, as 20+ years on from the first talks of new stadiums it's pointless. However I will now, as the relevant factors being how much we are going to be paid, and when it is going to be paid.
As I have personnaly put it to RW before, if the funding is not 'irrevocably' in place by the end of Jan 2012, we will not be in the new stadium for the start of 2013. Hence be careful in making a statement that says we will. With a 50+ wk build plan (if it goes smoothly) its just stating the obvious.
So....does anyone think that all planning issues will be overcome and money will start to move and change hands before this year is out?

You imply urgency - which also implies time, and it's something we're all too aware of.

Nothing is wrong in raising awareness but petitions are usually brought into the equation when you feel you are likely to encounter problems - hence the one for NM. I am suprised that one is needed for something that according to a number of Cas fans was subject to little if no opposition and had the councils full backing.

Isn't that a bit like saying why do Wakefield get benefactors to give Wakefield money to pay off the HMRC ?

| i see the usual suspects on the wakey forum are busy telling anyone who will listen everything thing is going wrong for cas, the stadium will never get built, strangely enough the same ones that were so sure thornes and newmarket would be plane sailing. They seem to be more bothered about praying cas will fail than hoping wakey will succeed.
I see they have the biggest announcement in the clubs history coming up, anybody else reckon they are going to announce nm is cancelled and a new site will be chosen. They tend to announce a new plan every few years or so the timing would be about right. To be honest i think they need to get a site in the city, they will struggle to grow in a stadium miles away from there catchment area if they have been struggling to grow from inside the city.

| The Wakey forum is mildly amusing. Half of them are still arguing over the link road...even though, that's been included in the regeneration plans.
Oh and the fact they think this is some kneejerk reaction to Glover is laughable. This has been planned for a while from what I know.
They know absolutely zilch; simple fact is, they're trying to knock our plans because a weaker Cas puts them in a better position. Nevertheless, I - and many others - still believe (and know in some areas) that we outscore them in the majority of aspects.
