I would assume it is a board made up of fully independant members who have/are nothing to do with any sporting club from this district. Maybe i am wrong but would WTW be happy if Richard Wright was on there? Same as if Ted Richardson/ Rodney Walker were on the board from a Cas/Fev point of view. The whole point of a community trust surely is for the best interests of the community....therefor the board members should be wholely independant.
However congratulations to WTW, a big step has been taken and hopefully the last few hurdles will be jumped easily.'"
I would imagine it is made up of people with an interest in the project and ones wanting to make it a) happen and b) a success.
So the likely hood of Richard Wright or anyone from Castleford Tigers having been on it are fairly remote I would imagine.

"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_39793.jpg |

FYI Rodney Walker, David Hinchcliffe, Andrew Glover and James Elston
No one independent of WTWC's there.

As I said in an earlier post, the treats are much more diverse than lack of stadium, rather than be the "be all & end all" it was it could be just another nail for either of us. Reduction in numbers & expansion in France could be just as devastating as being removed for lack of progress with stadium issues.
If you want we have a range of new terrace roofs for sale, should be ready for delivery September 2014. It's about all we own on BV to be fair!'"
Like stadia, league position is one part of the criteria. Not only that, it is not based solely on one year.
Salford are having financial difficulties. They have today rejected a further loan of £750k. They have been served with a winding-up petition. They don't fill their stadia.
Cas comparatively although things have been tight, have been relatively fine financially. Although we lose money, we are not haemorrhaging it to the extent that other SL clubs are posting losses. We have a clear player pathway and bring youth through. We also contribute to England and England Knights. We have bigger attendances.
I firmly do not believe that licensing will continue and that we'll return to promotion and relegation. It could be that the clubs at the bottom of season 3 (i.e. 2014) are relegated, or it could be done like licensing on the top 12 teams. Either way, I still think we're in top 12 teams and had we started building new stadium we'd have been a grade B licence last time. We narrowly missed out on that aspect.

We do not deserve to be in Super League and we'll be at the bottom of the league yet again this season.
Poor poor poor.'"
That's your opinion.
Clearly the RFL disagree and so do I.
One bad season doesn't make us an awful club by any stretch of imagination. As for being bottom this season, time will tell. I think we have a much stronger squad this season than last year and I think the likes of Fleming can come in and make an impact. He didn't look out of place in a poor Wales team

| why dose some loose hart in the team they say there fans of, i have seen worse teams than last year, when we first got relegated, on paper we should have been top 8 but in most games the players had other things on there mind and in my earlier years when Really came back at times we were less than average, so for some if last year was there last, the cricket & tennis will be on but not much ells, in terms of sport

Same here or at the very least stadium criteria will be relaxed towards the point of irrelevance....although giving some credit to those clubs who actually own their grounds is a logic which will no doubt continue to elude the RFL. Still, well done Wakey who look to be moving from a poor old stadium they dont own to a good new stadium they dont own. Sarcasm aside I think they'll prosper at NM providing they continue to play well enough to keep the new/returning fans and tempt everyone to follow them almost outside the city limits.

Something which has eluded Salford even by giving out hundreds of free tickets.

They are the driving force behind it. It doesn't mean they are not looking out for the best interests of the community, Walker especially. It isn't a Trinity owned stadium but clearly it wouldn't be there if Wakefield hadn't needed it and agreed to be anchor tennants, so we are bound to take an interest.
We have a big stake in the stadium but it is also in our interests to develop the Wakefield community sports as well.
Castleford are not in the same boat and although are part of the extended community it isn't quite the same as having another big club there. That 'could' be detrimental to the stadium quality in terms of too many games, clashes of fixtures, so it isn't a given that anyone who wants to play there can just decide to do it.
