| Hull FC remind me of Leeds in the Eighties. They are throwing vast amounts of money about, trying to buy good players, but are still failing to win anything. I am not sure if Gentle is the man for the job and if Pearson thinks that he can buy success, he is mistaken.

| Just for the uninitiated then, assuming that the "complications" involved in the possible transfer of Chase to Hull, mean it doesn't happen, what happens to him then?
Rightly or wrongly the impression I have got from afar is that Cas have been recruiting on the basis that Chase (or at least the cost of Chase's contract) would not be at the Club in 2013.
His behaviour in all this cant have been good for club morale either I wouldn't have thought, unless that has all been reconciled.
Can you still keep him and stay financially viable or does he go elsewhere, even if not to Hull?

This is the 1st ever transfer window Pearson has had to really splash the cash so obviously we have not had chance to win anything yet but if your going to compare us with Leeds in the eighties surely you have to give us 10 years to do it.

Didn't Ian Millward say earlier this month something along the lines of "I've spoken to the board and said there's no way I want to be looking for a No 6 come October, They said plan on him (Rangi) being a Castleford player next year"?

What a stupid post!
How are we throwing money about? We've only offered a fee for Chase and that deal doesn't even look as though it's going to happen. Holdsworth came for free as did Galea, Ellis and Arundel.
We've signed alot of players for next season, but you say we've still failed to win anything so I don't get that especially when we haven't thrown money about at all.
As for Gentle he is a great coach and has done wonders with a pretty average squad.

Oh I get it Cas never really wanted to sell him but were worried about the renewal of his visa, now that Hull have possibly resolved that for them (and/or it has been resolved through his marriage), then there is no need to let him go, unless of course somebody did offer a massive fee!
Well I don't think the fat lady has started to warm up her vocal chords on this one yet, never mind bursting into song, so a few more twists and turns yet methinks!

Holdsworth had a year to run on his Salford contract didn't he? I thought a fee was paid to secure his release.

| Nope, he was released from Salford by mutual agreement.

Wrongly.
Cas have lost what, 10 players for next season and that is the money that has been spent to replace players.

Sorry to burst your bubble - but Hull FC have paid a fee for Joe Arundel.

Only because he's under 23 or what ever the age limit is. Otherwise we wouldn't of paid a fee for him.
