I'd prefer our fans to focus more on the team performances then whatever obsenities the loiners are chanting.

I would agree with that, we have won 4 on the bounce now,its time to get behind the players & forget what other clubs are doing.

After the Sherwin saga,the fine's,the Barrow cup disaster etc we have a real chance of finishing the season well(which i didn't see coming)so lets try and be positive!

Frankly anyone who [iseriously[/i believes that homophobic abuse is on a par with last night's chants at Headingley is living in fantasy land.

The club has an arguable defence: that Cas treat the issue seriously and took steps which the tribunal ignored or didn't give enough weight to.

We aren't appealing on the grounds that homophobic abuse isn't really all that.

And arguing that it's not really anything deserving action or punishment, or on a par with the newly discovered "hair colourism" - whatever tf that is - not only undermines and trivialises the club's real grounds for appeal but actually reinforces the prosecution case that we don't take homophobia seriously and stronger action by the RFL and clubs is needed to drive the message home.

TBH, we're beginning to sound like some of the Widnes fans in 2008, whinging about some unfair conspiracy against us and trying to blame anyone but the actual culprits: in their case the ex-chairman and board who screwed their club's finances, in our case the idiots who thought it would be fun to chant homophobic abuse at a gay player.

Then you are as bad and shame on you - calling anyone names be it about their sexuality, race or even the colour of the hair is a form of bullying. Put it this way if you had a child with ginger hair and all their classmates were calling them names and they were coming home crying then would you not be down at the school wanting something done about it - damn right you would!! Nobody knows how James Graham feels, he may have been picked on at school about his hair and reminders can be upsetting. What if Cas fans come to your place and starting changing "ginger bstd" to Riley then is that ok or will we get reported for that as well.

I'm not doing it again, but i suggest you google ginger suicides, knifeings and the rest. Your ignorance and dismissal of the whole gingerism being of any importance is just as bad as the homophobic chants. Our country had a poor attitude to racism and homophobia in years gone by because people simply dismised it, as it didn't really offen them in particular. We still do it now with ginger, fat and a whole host of other things and if you are one of those people suffering abuse for being ginger, fat, goth or whatever then you are feeling the prejudice. Pretending it isn't that bad compared to being gay does not mean it isn't bad for that one individual who's life is tormented by abuse.

No single Cas fan or club member has ever said that homophobic chanting isn't wrong or questioned how serious it is. Some people (me) are however asking why verbal abuse, and the prevention of, on RL terraces only stretches as far as homophobic chanting and racist chanting when the RFL quite clearly states in their charge of Castleford Tigers that we were in breach of the RFLs respect policy. A policy which covers such abuse as those targetted towards and singling out ginger haired people, fat people and the rest. Hypocracy from some of the comments on here and hypocracy from the RFL.

Also, and no offence meant to any of you guys who have suggested it, but this is a thread to discuss that whole saga and isn't for debating the teams performance. If you wish to discuss that and do not wish to discuss the GT saga, then stick to the appropriate threads. I'll pop on the relevant thread and big up my teams performance as i see fit, but if i don't want to, i won't pop on and tell everyone else not to discuss it. As i say, no offence meant folks, we're here to chat about all things Tigers.

I think the worse chanting last night was when leon pryce was been carried off, when the south stand was chanting that he was gunna fkd in the showers. My email will be going off to the rfl shortly.
