Well, no. I agree. But I think it's a case of people getting 2+2 and getting 5.
It gives us more scope for the rest of the season to strengthen. If a good scrumhalf comes available we'll be in pole position.

Listened to news on radio leeds as it broke, your coach matterson gave impression it was done without his input, i may have misinterprated it but thin my impression is correct.

Pathetic bit of business. We should of kept Sherwin until we had a "proper" replacement sorted.

To be fair a lot of us fans have been saying we ought to see the back of Sherwin anyway.
We're not really in any different position to the 2nd half of last season (or large chunks of this one) when Sherwin was missing through injury. He then came back at the end of the season and had a nightmare in the playoff game.
I'd be very surprised if we manage to secure a decent (by which I mean overseas) replacement for the remainder of this season but at least we know the club are looking for an alternative solution for next year rather than the risk of keeping Sherwin on for one more season.

Regarding Shifty, I can't believe that you guys are that fussed at him leaving immediately to join the Dragons?
Has he acted in the manner that the club would expect him to, whilst he's been there? 
Also that's not only a big chunk of money saved on his salary by the club, but also they won't have to cop for the bar tab each week! |
