Ryan Bailey will not leave Leeds.

maybe not 'position/position' replacement. But to me really odd, releasing Ellis, and signing Moore....Weird

| As we are officially the feeder club to Cas wish you all the best next year. If you count ex Harlequins Orr and Gale there are 9 London players in your squad next year. Hope you get more out of them than we did.

| It doesn't bode well signing players from a team that could only manage one win all season. A player that has failed at most clubs (Moore) and a below average halfback from another relegated club (Gale). The only player I rate is Roberts, the rest are nowhere near as good replacements as what you've let go. Good luck with Denny Solamona and the like.

Absolute tosh.
Many would have said the same last year. Signing players from bottom-placed teams (Channing, Dorn), Championship players (Finn) and players who couldn't get in their team (Sneyd). Didn't work out too bad in the end.
Gale has been very good playing behind a very weak pack in a very weak team. Junior Moors and Ben Roberts have been playing regularly in the NRL and getting good reviews. Matt Cook has some excellent stats considering he's been playing in such as weak team. Solomona is definitely one for the future, as in McMeekan. Neither will be on big money and offer us depth and the possibility of developing into good players.
The only player we can't really replace is Clark - whoever we signed would be a step down.

| Trust me Scott Moore is NOT Daryl Clark. McMeeken is a big lad who never gets involved, Solomona hardly ever shows his pace and cannot defend. If Powell can turn these 3 around, I know he'll be coach of the year next year too. But I very much doubt it, unless he's got a magic wand.

| I for one am actually excited about scott moore, once a lad with a lot of potential and has shown only briefly IMO his full potential over his career so far. Hopefully playing regularly again in a better team may see him improve to see more of that 'potential'. Gotta move on from clarky he did nothing last night.

Don't tar all those players with the same brush, some are very good signings.
The problems at London are many and go well beyond the performance of individual players. Appalling mis-management off the field, poor coaching on it, over-paid under-performing overseas signings causing local lads on a pittance to become demotivated. The players you've signed were in a team with glaring failings at centre and in the pack, I would defy any player to shine in that situation.
Take Luke Dorn, last few seasons he looked terrible for us, now he's in a well balanced side he looks like the player we signed in 2005. Luke Dorn hasn't changed much in all that time, it's the situation around him that changed. In 2005-7 he played in a well balanced side and was a great attacking player. Now he is in a well balanced side and is a great attacking player. In 2011-13 he was playing at a club with massive issues on and off the pitch, and he looked hopeless. Same player, different situations.
McMeeken and Solomona are good signings.
Not impressed with Moore though.

Shame his defence hasn't improved over the seasons

If you're referring to Dorn, my use of the phrase "great attacking player" was deliberate. No-one ever had him in their side for his defensive abilities. But if you have a well balanced side he can be a luxury you can afford.

'Trust me Scott Moore is NOT Darryl Clark'!!! Deary me Ronnie you said that as if it was a brand new revelation or observation. Every Castleford fan going already knows that, nay every RL fan of any team. Talk about stating the obvious. However I still think Scott Moore will do us a job, despite what many think. Cannot really comment on the other two, as I have not really seen them. Saw McKEEKEN at our place and he played very well and looked like he has good potential but I realise you cannot go on one game. I know very little about Solomona.

Yes Pretty Boy but what no one says is that Clark has been playing with an injury the last few games that restricts his pace and movement. He could have easily cried off the last few games, like others but he wanted to show his commitment to his home town club to the very end and you have to give him immense credit for that. If he had have cried off, fans would have said he is leaving and not bothered any more, he plays on but not with the same potency because of his injury, and they say not doing it like he was. Therefore he cannot win.
Also since the semi he has been on the field much longer than the short time he was being used as an impact player previously, because of injuries to others. People have judged him because his thrilling running skills have not been anywhere near in evidence, because of this. But watch the games and you will see his defence and tackling have still been excellent. He has still done the nitty gritty.

| Looks like we have also signed another Bronco (albeit from Leeds Rhino's) - Thomas Minns. Looked good this year from what I have seen of him.
