The reason I mentioned him was that in the most recent game he was the most obvious example. Typical Warrington fan trying to be clever and totally missing the point.'"
Deary me. With that last sentence you've just proven your complete biased against Warrington.
I haven't seen the incident and if I still had a copy of the match I can assure you I would watch it. Play acting is something I can't stand within football or rugby, along with people moaning to the ref. A trait of Lee Briers that really annoys me..
Now is there any chance you can stop bringing your anti-warrington views and possible keep this thread on track.

It is however the mark of a player that has an issue with discipline. I wonder how many are for foul play and how many are for technical offences.

You had a go at me for mentioning Mathers, I told you the incident and you can't recall it yet you're arguing with me about it, whats all that about?
You wrote
"Amazing. A Wigan fan with a gripe against Mathers." and your signature says "Pitying bitter Wigan fans since 1978" and I'm biased against Warrington? yet I'm biased against Warrington, total hypocrite. The only reason I wrote the last sentence was because of what you said sorry if that wasn't clear enough for you. Some of my best friends are Warrington fans and they are very knowledgeable about rugby and I enjoy the banter with them, I want the quality of Rugby to be as high as possible, it was a bit dull last year I though and the more teams that improve, including Warrington the better. If I was commenting on the subject of another club I'd appear biased against them more than likely but to make a judgment of bias based on 2 posts is a bit rich.
Anyway back onto the thread, Carvell and Morley are very lucky indeed not to get banned, especially Morley in my opinion but I'd rather see them play against Wigan because they are both great players and I don't want the quality of the game to be compromised.

I can assure you I'm not arguing about the Mathers incident because as I stated I haven't seen it. My comment about a Wigan fan having a gripe against Mathers was in relation to the tripe that was spoken about him and Gleeson from Wigan and Warrington fans about both players when they switched clubs.
And as for my sig, I changed that after the semi last year when a couple of Wigan fans went on the Warrington boards calling all Warrington fans scum. I probably should have changed it but completely forgot about it. Maybe I'll wait till after the result on Sat.
As for the topic, I said at the time and still feel the same now that there was nothing in the Morley incident, the initial contact was certainly not high. As for Carvell, probably should have got 2-3 matches. The 1 match ban was a joke. The fact he won an appeal is nothing short of pathetic on the part of the RFL.

So what do you think about Sherwin and his miracle recovery as soon as play was stopped after Morley's "decapitation" attempt.
From flat-out motionless to back on his feet in two seconds without treatement. How many matches does Sherwin deserve for this?

The same as what Briers gets every time he does it when someone dares the breathe near him?

The video evidence proves that it wan't high though. Looked bad at first but in truth it was certainly not high.

Apart from video evidence proves he smacked Sherwin in the back of the head and quite clearly too. I hope Fielden or someone does the same to Briers tomorrow just to see what you think then.

The video evidence clearly shows the initial contact on Sherwins upper torso the bouncing up to head height. This isn't a high tackle and is something that happens in lots of tackles at all levels of rugby.
If Fielden does exactly the same thing to Briers tomorrow my response will be the same. I'm certainly not a biased fan and don't let emotions get in the way of clear thinking.

If it isn't a high tackle by the rules of the game then why are players penalised for doing the same thing in a lot of the high tackles you see now then?
