Quote: odemwingie "You cas fans are really strange.

Your going to judge who is better from the 1 game you have played and the 2 we have played.

You think that we are crap even though we have finished 3rd for the last 2 seasons and reached 1 semi final.

If thats you normal cas fans I really do wonder what rubbish the bitter cas fans might come our with.'"

Didn't you previously say you finished FOURTH in the last two seasons and made the play-off elimination semi-finals in both...?

Quote: -DAZ- "
Some Cas fans thought your clubs cheating was responsible for us spending the 2007 season in NL1 and put a possible SL franchise spot in jeopardy, so some bad feeling and animosity was always going to be on the cards.

They'd have been better served letting it lie or at least aiming it towards that shyster Maurice Lindsay rather than Wigan fans as a whole, but as I say, feeling we're running high.

It's yesterdays news now and I think most Cas fans have moved on, Mo's gone and Cas got a franchise.'"

I hope you are right about the ill feeling going mate. I have always had a lot of time for Castleford, we have had some great visits to the Jungle over the years and were very impressed with what a friendly club it was.

Like you say I hope people can move past what happened and things will go back to what they were. The people responsible for what happened have gone thankfully.

I wont let the ill feeling go, Wigan did cheat to survive, No questions asked - And unless were going to get players like Manu back, Then all is not right

4th in the table but the actual end of season positions go off where you come in the play-offs, the prize money is also dished out this way, although the team who wins the hubcap wins a little I think.

If we are to win Friday we have to put away the chances we create. Too many times Sunday we had decent field position and wasted it with crap last play options EG Sione kicking through the sticks on the last (i actually thought it was a drop goal attempt) and Rangi's crappy dummys then passing the ball behind the centre and winger. We competed up front Sunday and i think we are ok in the forwards but our attack has to be clinical (sp). Get a try early doors and complete our sets and we could be in with a chance.

I think we might be better if we play Ryan Mcg and Netherton in the halves.
Going by the last part of the Fev friendly and the last 6/7 mins of the Quins game Netherton has looked decent in the halves. Least he spreads the ball out wide which is more than can be said of Rangi and Sione

Unfortunately some of the ill feeling does still remain, but more with the younger fans who weren't around, or old enough to appreciate the intense rivalry between the two clubs in the 80s and early 90s. This rivalry always made for some classic entertaining games and I'd welcome the return of that.

It's a shame that a couple of irresponsible invdividuals have dragged the reputation of your club through a ditch and tarnished that great rivalry, but as you say, they're gone and all I (and most Cas fans) want to see now are some more Cas v Wigan classics.

I'm assuming the comment was intended "in the spirit of the thread", though it may be based on rlTHISrl.

They're even stupid for Sky, IMO.
I think all Lancashire-Yorkshire games should be played on Saturday or Sunday, but that's just personal preference.

Is this the place to discuss the game? If so, Cas have named the same 19 as last week; TM is quoted in the League Express as saying a return for Brent Sherwin looks unlikely; and Steve Ganson has been handed the whistle.
