| Quote: bren2k "Because whilst his delivery may have been inept and clumsy, his intent was clear.
Today's statement only adds to the impression of a sad, desperate and rather pathetic little man; one could almost feel sorry for him, given that his position is likely to get even more uncomfortable when Red Hall decides how to respond to a SL Chairman using gutter tactics to damage another SL club's chances of delivering a shiny stadium.
I suspect that amongst the RL community, RW will soon become persona non-gratis; there'll be blood on t'carpet, you mark my words.'"
Or so you keep believing.
But whilst you let bitterness, anti-Cas attitude etc etc rather than let common sense prevail then I suppose this will always be your reaction.
I can understand your concern; your points are flawed.

Goodbye all. It was nice knowing most of you.: |
|
| I love all this holier than thou stuff coming from the Wildcats trolls.... what was it Glover said about Cas earlier this year? Or have we conveniently forgotten about that?
RW merely clarified, when asked, his comments from earlier in the year.
At least he didn't go round slagging off Wakefield for no good reason.
And with that, farewell to you all.
This was a place I came to so that I could chat about rugby amongst friends. If I wanted to listen to people assassinating each others' characters, I'd sit in front of the telly and watch the soaps, or go to the pub and listen to women slagging of their so called "friends" behind their backs.
Sorry, but it's got to the stage where I can't stand it any more.
Good night nurse.

Easiest thing is to ride it out mate. It's the off-season so naturally the crap always sticks around because there's nothing else to discuss or moan about.

Sleep it off. Wake up refreshed and don't let them get to you - or they win - you know it makes sense!!

| As I think has already been said, we would be mightily p'd off if AG similarly intervened in our stadium plans...well I would at least. However in the final analysis I doubt RWs actions will have major impact - although there is a first time for everything.

And bye and large they are the thoughts of anyone with any grasp on their sanity.
Its not what he's said, its just the fact that he's commented at all, massive OG for RW in my opinion, and completely avoidable.

He strikes me as a man that's struggling to hold on, the pressure is getting too much and I my opinion whilst his intent is right his ability to deliver simply isn't.
Saying that what do we do as I don't see a queue of people waiting to take over the club, I Cas fans are honest with themselves I think most would agree.

I doubt that any of his comments will have any real influence as this would have all been mentioned anyway.
The reason this conversation keeps going round in circles is because most Cas fans won’t take of the blinkers and accept this point. Why did he have to get involved, especially knowing full well who it was that approached him and what he was been associated with? The wording of the letter made it more clear what the underlying motivations was. To quote “we have made significant progress with our site at Junction 32” I mean come on, that could have been written in 2006 it could still be written in the 2014 franchise application! There has to be some kind of fair play in sport and this just isn’t it, actively and knowingly joining a campaign to stop top class sporting facilities been brought to the game of Rugby League. You now have a Chief Exec whose interests are directly in conflict with what’s best for the game of Rugby League. Not very good.
Dickie has also opened a right can of worms here and he is making a lot off enemies. He has to remember that if the Opus Planning application ever goes in, a PI could well take place. If NM gets passed could you imagine the amount of stirring Sir Rodney could do in that one? Pick your enemies wisely Trickey…..

| Quote: TURFEDOUT "Did i say they were??
Have you found the link yet -- to the businesses that went bankrupt/brink?'"
I'll provide a list shortly, but here is a little something for you for now some of the creditors.
"It's a brand-new company and none of the old debts are there," Glover told the press conference. " There are elements that I will be honouring, that I feel I want to honour, but I don't want to go into details."
It is thought the old club owed more than £300,000 to HM Revenue and Customs, whose action in bringing a winding-up petition precipitated the decision to go into administration.
The administrators O'Hara and Company sold three players – Sam Obst, Daryl Millard and Dale Ferguson – for undisclosed fees to other Super League clubs during the five days they ran the club to help pay off some of the debt.

I agree, it's bit like us pre AG, everything was done to cover up the cracks and cling to power, but until you find an alternative your stuck with it.
Please don't let it go too far and you end up in admin though, neverdid would go into melt down!!!!!!!!

Very good and your point is?
Everyone is already aware of the above info.
However thanks for reminding every one just what a top guy Andrew Glover is,honouring debts that had nothing to do with him.
He really is a shining example of how a club chairmen should conduct himself.............
I look forward to your list of "lots of businesses" that went bankrupt/to the brink because of Wakefield.
