| GET IN THERE!
The commentators on the radio were pretty much mocking us for taking the two early on... yet it certainly counted didn't it?

He was sent to the bin. How did he avoid any punishment? If he got fined, if I were him I'd have said send the bill to Crusaders, they can pay it out of the money they owe me.

Only to the Hull fans who can't take the fact they got beat...at home...again...by a "small" team.
Childs tried his best to get them back in the game but they weren't good enough to beat a team that wasn't playing even half as good as it can.

| Ref was very poor for both sides imo. Seemed to pull penalties out of the air then miss something obvious the next second. Which ever team lost could easily use the ref as an excuse. I've got biased spec's on of course, but I think each Hull try was on the back of penalties, usually more than 3. So had we lost we'd have been mental at him. I think Cas dug in and earned that victory. It was a tough battle and one they can be proud of coming through.
Sean Long throwing his dummy out didn't help Hull one bit either. Nice to see the Hull guys do a three on one (including Longy) on Aspinwall and then it even ended up with about 5 or 6 on one until the rest of the Cas team could get in. Long was quite happy to be the big lad when someone is out numbered but when Isa decked him with a tackle he threw the teddy out, and next tackle got sent off. Blame the ref if you want, or blame the guy with years of experience who can't handle it when it doesn't all go his way.

| Sporting Life quotes from Agar.
"I'm angry. I saw this bloke referee a trial game between Salford and Hull KR and I thought: 'I'm dreading when we get him'.
"Sure enough he's backed it up, just a disgraceful performance. I've got seasoned Test players in there coming in shaking their heads in disbelief. I thought both sides came to play, the game started great, a good tempo, everybody into it and it never got any flow and was punctuated by ridiculous decisions.
"It's just been a good game and a good spectacle completely ruined by one bloke."
Sean Long, Hull's veteran scrum-half, watched by best friend and out-of-favour Wigan centre Martin Gleeson who Agar denied he is looking to sign, was sent off with four minutes to go for an apparent elbow-led tackle, moments after he had returned from the sin bin.
"If you're going to sin bin people for that, sin bin everyone, not just one and be selective," Agar added.
"Sean Long has has been dead-set cleaned out on their line at the end there, not even a penalty.
"Absolutely cleaned out around the head, the same as he was on the sin-bin. Absolutely baffling. They couldn't even get the clock stopped properly.
"I've had the benefit of watching it on video and when he (Long) went in to score that try he was cleaned out. Plain and simple cleaned out, and he said he didn't know where he was.
"He said he tried to shoulder charge a tackle and from what I saw he completely missed contact. A player of Castleford has ran 50 metres and begged for him to be sent off, which is ordinary.
"I don't know what the point is talking about the game, the game was completely ruined by him (Child). It's baffling. We've all come, so many fans from both sides. It was just completely ruined as a spectacle by him.
"He (Child) won't be under pressure will he? He'll be backing up in Super League next week and we'll get a sheet round telling us all his decisions have been the right ones, I guarantee you that."
Agar's rant, which included him saying Child was "100%" the reason why his side lost, was followed by Hull chairperson Kath Hetherington entering the media room, looking to speak to the match commissioner.

| @Marshman every try in the game came off the back of a penalty, but that can't be too surprising considering the fact that the game averaged 1 penalty every 3 minutes (well actually just under 3 but I cba with decimals).
I think that tonght's match was a good game but would have been a superb game and could have gone either way if it wasn't for an unacceptable performance from the ref.

| They probably did Panda, that's why I mentioned my biased spec's. The game seemed to go into decline early on, and turn in to that ugly arm swinging, niggling game and I couldn't help but think it was all his fault. I don't have any confidence in his ability to control a game. We've had him twice now and he's been truly awful in both games. That said, we've won them both, so here's to him reff'ing us again next week! lol

| This game was an incredible shame for me. Not for the fact that we lost - I thought Castleford played with real passion and produced some excellent Rugby League at times, as did we - but the fact that it was completly destroyed by what was the worst refreeing performance I have ever seen in a proffesional RL game.
This game will unfortunetly not be remembered for the result, but for the ref - and that is not what sport is about.
Childs completly lost control of this game and then went on to let the crowd get to him - plain and simple. And yes, he was appalling bad for both teams.
Hull have now made an official complaint to the match commissioner, it wouldn't surprise me if Cas follow suit - so the next few days could be interesting.

Think that comment is totally unfair.Nobody likes being beaten, especially at home, but we have learned to accept seeing it.As for the small team comment I think you will find a majority of F.C. fans have respect for Cas and the fans.
