Kyle Wood is a good young player but i feel his best position is hooker, great to hear he is doing well.

Best Cas player today, and by a long way.

Quote: marshman "I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and guess you won't be up on all things Tigers. There are lots of reasons why only around 150 Cas fans turned up today. Since before the season started us Cas fans highlighted problems we felt needed addressing. Namely fitness, squad strength and depth, lack of signings and the re-signing of players we should have let go. The season progresses and our worries are highlighted further and the club do nothing to act on anything. Add to that we have a board who seem to always wish to save money and have shown no ambition over the last 5 or 6 years giving us gap year after gap year, a coach who comes out with some of the craziest team talks, positioning of players and seemingly lack of defencive coaching abbility. A bunch of players who at times have looked as though they couldn't beat any of our areas under 10's teams and who's effort in some games has been truelly shocking. Our players have constant brain farts, gifting teams easy points and even when we are in a good position to win a game we somehow do something no amateur player would ever do, to lose us the game, if we haven't already lost it in some pathetic 15 minute spell just after half time again (oh why didn't i get down to the bookies and back on that happening again today?). Oh yeah, we lose our "star" half back and replace him with a kid who has played most of the season on the bench at Batley (no offence Kyle, i hear you played really well today, top stuff!). We seem to be losing some of our best young kids to teams such as Saints and our stadium still hasn't been built because we're waiting on someone to scribble up something with some crayolas.

We've been loyal, loud and proud. We've followed our relegated teams all season even though they've been pants (but the effort was there), then followed them all over NL1. We're a good set but all we ask of right now, is a chance to watch our team play SL rugby at a standard fitting of SL. Our board, coach and players over the most part of the season have been no where near SL, we can admit that. Thus, sometimes you just can't be d trudging over to Wigan when you could simply stop at home and poke yourself in the japs eye with a hot poker.
100% spot on and i agree with every word. eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif

I think this sums up the vast majority of Cas supporters views - it certainly echoes my thoughts exactly.

This should be printed off in large print and posted above every peg in the changing rooms, stuck to every computer in the office and stuck on the walls in RW's and TM's offices. eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif

Despite the result it wasn't a bad performance at all by Cas although we were found wanting in defence a little too often, especially on the left, and made some stupid mistakes.

Kyle Wood was the stand out player and appeared to be doing his utmost to organise the team, and under considerable pressure as the only natural half-back. Jordan Thompson, Jonathan Walker, Joe Westerman and Michael Shenton all had decent games too.

I thought Hudson and McGoldrick were both pretty poor and when the team is clearly lacking leadership from experienced players, we really need these two in particular to be leading by example and not demonstrating poor discipline, conceding stupid penalties.

Also I'd love to see a replay of Clayton's injury. Whilst it's unsporting to find such an incident amusing, he did take one hell of a swing for Tuson and miss...

I'm afraid I have to agree with all this too. Although I went yesterday and enjoyed the game, I've not shown anything like the interest recently that I've maintained in previous seasons; and my Grandad is now only going to home games. Speaking to him and my Nan the other day we were discussing the waning support for the club and my Nan asked me why I've lost interest. In truth I couldn't really put my finger on it but my Grandad suggested something similar to what Marshy's said above.

I think that the club have taken arguably the most loyal supporters in the game for granted for too long and they're now beginning to pay the price. It's ok saying that they can't progress without our support, yet we can see no evidence of real progress whilst they've enjoyed unwavering support over the last ten years. In reality all we've seen is more of the same and a long list of unfulfilled plans, promises and aspirations.

He was on Westgate Sat teatime with Leo-Latu in various pubs. Neither of them were being very friendly.

I agree with most of the above too.

I started out this season armed with my season ticket, new home shirt and a plan to go to as many games (home and away) as possible. I couldn't make it to Catalans but I made it to Leeds, Bradford, Hull and Wakey and what I witnessed at the latter 3 games made me realise that I wasn't willing to spend any more money on following the club this season unless I saw some improvement. I would have loved to go to Edinburgh, London and to Wigan again but I can't justify parting with my hard earned money to go see what I expect will be a soul-destroying performance from my team.

The message coming out of the club at the moment on and off the field is that we're not good enough to be in Super League and if things continue then that will be the case.

Why should the fans continue to travel around following a team that is not good enough for the competition but more importantly not good enough for them?

He's had a foot injury for 6 weeks and shouldn't have been playing for those 6 weeks

This is the thing that p**ses me off about Cas. Loan players have more heart and determination to succeed than players that are actually signed on full time with big money wages. It's ridiculous

My comment was more aimed at the performance of Kyle Wood than Rangi being out
