Any ideas?'"
It will probably be less than announced, like most other attendances for SKY games...most notably every London home fixture and the 6700+ Wakey would have us believe turned up for Salford.

Not a fan of the new(ish) move, to what i assume is, an inclusion of all season ticket holders wether they are present or not.
I can see from the clubs POV they have taken the money, but technically those not present are not in attendance.
That said if a club ticks a box for doing it come licence time and another misses out, they would be foolish not to join the trend (simplified i know, but you get my jist!) these are things of significance these days to the RFL and so they become ghosts to chase for the clubs.

I wonder if some clubs are actually including the number of free tickets handed out regardless of whether they are ever presented.
Can I ask you Kinley, do you really believe - even accounting for missing season ticket holders - that Wakey's figure for a televised Saturday evening game against Salford was genuinely higher than HKRs the following day???

They are not badly supported when look at teams such as Catalans,Salford, and London bringing away support.I think the Widnes support will be poor because they are playing crap under a crap coach.I expect a poor Castleford side to win and been on Sky I think fans will watch on Tv like me.

| If my daughter's any litmus test then this lass they have singing before the game could be a bit of a draw...
Mind you, whether they'll stay for the rugby after is another matter.

Didn't see the HKR game so cant comment, what i will say is that, and i consider myself no expert in the calculation of spectators inside sports stadia, there were no more than 5000 at BV versus Salford, although it is difficult trying to guess at BV taking into account the flats and the little bit, here little bit there nature of the ground.
In the past we have paradoxically, understated our attendances (for personal reasons at that time) so it is something of a watershed in our affaris.
What is clear is that other clubs, notably Hudds, Bulls and London have been at it for quite sometime longer than us, and if the licence system calls for it, i cant blame the cubs for doing it.

I guess if the RFL have stated that attendance is part of their licensing criteria than given clubs the green light to include pre-sales in their attendance figures, they can't be blamed for doing so; I expect that only London don't feel the need to, since the RFL have previously stated that they shouldn't be judged on attendances - the only incentive they have to inflate their figures is to avoid embarassment.
Personally, I don't see anything especially wrong with it; if I buy a ST but don't attend a few games, I've still paid up front for the right to attend and can reasonably be included in a nominal attendance figure. Provided that clubs like ours don't believe their own hype and take their feet off the gas, it's not a huge issue.

| you can't really blame Catalans fans or London fans for not travelling every week, though that is the point for not having them in the super league to start with
