| Had to go down to the ground to buy a ticket for a friend & asked for clarification as I have a friend who will be going (as a CT fan) & wanted to get the "party line".
[sizeThe new North Stand is for HOME FANS ONLY. There is a small area on the corner of the North Terrace that isn't under the cover of the stand, this is the ONLY place you will be allowed to go other than the Eastern Terrace, which is a FAMILY AREA & can be used for BOTH sets of fans.
Whilst the diagram does show an area of the North Terrace access to the new covered area will be reserved for HOME FANS ONLY.
The same restrictions/advice will apply to ALL clubs/away fans who visit BV in the future.[/size
I fully back WTW for doing this, changing ends died with the dinosaurs & we'll both have designated areas at our new stadia, which is in line with most SL clubs. What's the fuss? Stand where your told & behave like adults- then whatever the score we BOTH win in terms of keeping or improving (in your case) the way our fans are represented in the media.

If this is true, it's crazy.
How are they going to police this at BV?

Simple answer is - they can't
Like I said in my post, if people don't wear their colours (which I usually don't), how will they even tell who supports who?
Short of asking every person who they are going to support then they can't

Ask the club, it was stated yesterday in the press statement.
It's not crazy at all, why build a new covered area to create more noise & then open it up the general population. You want your home fans in there to create a hostile atmosphere for visiting PLAYERS.
Segregation has a positive side, one I think some are ignoring. This is the norm!

MOST fans do where colours!
Stewards will advise fans, I can't see why CT fans are being so awkward, let us have our new area for home fans, your needs will be catered for without walking through, there are ample food/drink/toilet facilities without moving onto the western side of BV.

Again, like I said in my earlier post. I don't have any issues on where to stand.
I can see the benefits it will have for Wakey that they haven't had in the past, and also fully understand the clubs reason behind doing this. Though the fans have to have the same interest. Cas tried getting all the fans in to the Princess Street Stand at WR, it happened for 1 or 2 games then died a death with people going back to their usual spots "because it's where they've always stood".
People don't like change, and they certainly don't like being told what they can and can't do.
Stewards may advise fans, it doesn't mean they will listen, and they will go unidentified if they are not wearing colours.
Like I said, I don't have any issues about standing in a specific area, the picture given on the website looks to have allocated a very small section of your whole ground to away fans, this will cause issues when the likes of Leeds come in big numbers. It only antagonises fans when they feel they are being persecuted and herded to a small section "just because you've now got a roof"

| This also works the other way IMO.
Having the eastern terrace will be an advantage in itself, forward passes & offsides will be clearer & thus a united vocal support can sway even the most level headed ref & we both know the dross we have this week!
Anways I think this storm in a tea cup will pass off without any notice.
As far as fans "sneaking in" goes, the #letsgonorth movement has been going for a few weeks & got a great start against Le Cats, you can only stand where there's room & I know a lot are getting there early to claim their new spots!

Can't help feeling it would have been better for Richard Wright to conduct any complaints in private...

We have the WRE which is open to ANYONE.
Though the majority of cas fans go in there, other fans are welcome to go in there and ARE NOT STOPPED.
Will this now be segrigated for every game, will wigan/hull fc/saints fans all be stopped from going in the north stand, or is that just cas fans.

There is terracing infront, the roof provides cover/shade in most weathers, if you have a westerly wind & rain it's rough though, but not much worse than princess street- I've seen CT fans pressed up against the back to escape the rain whilst we are drenched in the open! Swings & roundabouts!
No CT fans are not allowed on the western terrace. You enter from Doncaster Road & stand on either the northern corner or the eastern terrace. There are toilets & food near the entrance/exit, drinks at the top of the east stand & you can access the bottom floor of the hospitality boxes to use the bar before, during & after the game should you wish.

Surely Dicky Wright knew he wouldn't be on Elstons Xmas card list after December & Dickies letter writing. Why would he think he'd be consulted before receiving the final decision & plans from WTW.

| My only moan is the roof element to be honest.
When there was everyone getting wet and cold in the rain - that was fine but now there is a roof only home fans can stay dry! That doesn't feel right to me.
I woudl not like to see at Cas that away supporters got open terracing come what may and that was just tough.
Oh well doesn't matter for once a season to me.... . If it makes Wakey feel superior, then fine no matter how this whole #letsgonorth thing is being presented - it is simply we have done something nice and don't want to waste it on away fans.

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!
Why on earth should we cater for our away fans first, we have done this to further our own lot, not yours!
If you don't like it that's up to you, you make your own choices of what you do, what to think & how to support your club.

| I just spoke to someone at the Wakefield club who, after clarifying with someone else told me that the western terrace would be mixed fans. I wanted to know if I could stand with members of my family who are Wakefield fans and was told that we could stand together on the western terrace.

| ATEOTD - Wakey have been crying out for a "kop" for years and years. Now we have got one built and because it's on the traditional away end, we need to make it clear that it is for Wakey fans. I'm sure though if Cas fans wish to go to other areas it will be fine, hopefully the bulk of them will stay in the designated area and lead to a better atmosphere all round.
