the two teams we had in national league were better than we got now, been saying it for last few years, iv'e never seen a Cas side that play so dumb.
Danny Orr the only one with a rugby brain.

It's been heading this way for quite some time. Even a season or two ago many raved about Cas's impulsive plays, off the cuff moves etc etc. However we've been trying to be so creative on top of fragile foundations. Our positional play, defence and other core skills just aren't good enough to support this type of play....or to recover the situation when it doesn't work out. We need to go back to doing the basics and doing them very well. I had hoped that Millward would bring some us some defensive structure, and he promised exactly that....but it just isn't there.

So yes....this is the worst Cas team for a far back as I can remember.

It just feels that way, the abject relegation seasons were worse than this.

It feels worse becuase there is more potential in this side than there was in the relgation teams.

Wasn't it only last season that you were being "big upped", didn't you have a really good first half/two-thirds of the season?
Or was it the year before, I'm getting on!!!!

Last year before a massive injury crisis, essentially the same squad as this year was up at the top of the league.

The only change? Coach...how bad is Millward if Matterson could get more out of the team?

Are we bad yes but worse ever ??? Not a chance 04 side streets ahead of any !!!! Both nl teams and the 97 team were all worse too

This i my point, last seasons team was lauded for what seemed like most of the season before dropping away badly and blowing the top eight. This season with the same(ish) squad they are being pillaried because they are struggling.
It's not my job to point the finger, but its a bit inconsistent!!

Similar to us, your team should be putting in much better performances with the team they have got but just don't come up with the goods.
I think you have a good chance of winning the game tonight & should kick on from there.
At least your not bottom of the table like our team of "Passionless Money Takers" who do not seem to care about the club & fans

Half the Cas team are mercenaries, the local lads put in 100% effort but there's also a number of players in the squad that are either not good enough or are just simply not bothered because they know they'll get paid no matter what.

Yes you are right it could be worse supporting London but more understandable.

We have some of the top local amateur & school teams in the area but don’t seem to be able to find young talent or hang onto them long enough when we do to be able to compete for a full season and build year on year.
