I've never particularly liked Mathers as a player, no matter who he played for. Defensively we've had better, although he is more impressive when he joins the attack. We've had other players at Trinity - many - who have not been 'superstars' in their positions, but all of these players get a warm welcome when they play at Belle Vue IF they've done their best for the club during their time with us. Examples are Wilkes and Golden when they went to London, Elima with Catalans and Bradford, Atkins with Wire etc. etc. If they've taken the p when they were with us, they get some stick (Tpot Griffin?).
What I can't understand with your abuse of Mathers is that he is a great club guy, despite his shortcomings as a player. He gives his best on the pitch, and goes above and beyond off it. I honestly think he was gutted to leave Cas, and think that he dealt with his departure with dignity. He didn't deserve that abuse - unlike your hero Chase who, it seems to me, has tried to deliberately engineer his own departure and who's lack of any shred of the professionalism that Mathers showed whilst with you I find disgusting!

My husband said he heard it. I was probably too engrossed in the game.But I'm sick of all the foul language and won't bring my daughters kids to Cas because of it. Don't theses idiots realise they're driving away lots of fans with kids because of the swearing and chants. Its time action was taken before we get into trouble again.
