Plus you do know that even the smallest impact to the head can if the person is very, very unlucky lead to very serious injuries dont you?
But it seems that you think headshots are 'ok' so ill be writing the the RFL telling them to remove the headshot penalty and pointing them in your direction as apparetly it was ok back in the day

| I can't comment on the validity of those penalties, but if we're going to help sides up the field, then expect to have points put past us.
Shame really, but oh well. Look forward to have another tough tussle against Hudds, the bloody cheating, man-handling set of bleeders.
Watched the game tonight and thought your pack was very good. Was impressed with Sargent and we couldn't put Feather down.
Think Sherwin let you down though!

But, do you think Castleford purposely employed this tactic like Boris stated? There can be shots which have 'gone wrong'. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as I would never envisage any player purposely (barring rare cases, if any) going out to hit a player high.
That's all i'm wondering, why did Boris want to make the point and single out Cas for the shots when it's actually been a talking point all year.
That, coupled with that it seems not many other Rovers fans have commented on these 'deliberate tactics', these are genuine questions, no need to resort to the herione comeback (though I wish I was on it at this moment in time )

| Hull KR did get all the 50/50s but our ball control was poor and Ford had a bit of a mare with unforced errors. Dixon got taken out in the air for the 2nd week running when only 4 behind then Hull KR went up the other end and scored.
Big turnout from Cas. We weren't allowed in the golf stand because it was 'sold out' but after some protests to the stewards in the south stand after seeing there were plenty of empty seats they let us round and we didn't have to pay the extra tenner. No idea how the ground passed the franchise criteria though.

| Quote: BORIS THE SPIDER "Radford is an idiot, did he mention the head shots on rovers ?'"
Two teams mate, an' all that. There were head shots against Cas that went unpunished. Take for example, Huby went in with a raised arm that bounced up off the chest (and it did, this isn't just biased crap), pen awarded to KR. Less than two minutes later in practically the same position Huby receives one which was high (ie- didn't bounce up off the chest) but no penalty awarded. You could clearly see Huby shouting at the ref and asking why that one wasn't a head high. He then went on to put in 2 big hits in the next 3 tackles he was that mad.
I'm surprised some of the Hull KR fans are having a whinge at the ref considering the penalty count was way in their favour (probably higher than the scoreline) and the turning point was when we put in a kick to the corner and have a man blatantly taken out, nothing awarded and KR get piggy backed up the field and score the final try to seal the game.
Anyway, whinging fans and crap refs aside, it was a decent game and could have gone either way. Thought we missed Goldy again in attack. Our defence was pretty good but we just couldn't grind out enough points.

As I stated in another thread, the ground is perfectly adequate for the home fans along the sides. It's for the away fans who have to go in the ends that are a joke - one is rickety uncovered golf stand and the other a terrace about 50m behind the posts with no elevation and no view. We all know the the Jungle and it's limitations but I would take it along with BV and even Salford over Craven Park.

| the way the stewards treated us was disgraceful too! firstly told the golf stand was sold out, sent to the other stand to see that it clearly wasnt sold out....after much argument we were finally allowed to go sit with the rest of the cas fans. every year i say 'im not off there next season' but after tonight i really wont.

I'll definatley give you the benefit of the doubt mate, since i don't know you and wouldn't dream of tarring you with someone elses brush, so don't think this is aimed at you. But with a certain chunk of Cas fans, that statement is way off the mark. We have some right idiots and yet again for the whole of the match a certain few only ever wanted to argue with the stewards. Last year it was bad, and i can't remember which guys it was then that got threw out, but it was the same set of people that were yet again arguing all match with the stewards and guess what happened. One of that same bunch got thrown out again.
"Get a proper job"
Feck me, how tiresome is that chant now! Get a fecking life you idiots! I paid £20 to watch this match, plus a few quid for my petrol money and parking etc and for the whole game i've got a bunch of idiots arguing with the stewards, blocking the view of the match and generally being nobs. These idiots keep complaining about the stewards, calling them jobsworths, complaining they've been dealt with heavy handed when half a dozen or more come along to break up the crap but here's an idea folks. Sit the feck down, watch the fecking game and the fecking stewards won't say a fecking word to you. I've been to CP the last three times we've been there and guess what, i've not had any trouble from them, same as when i go to Wigan, Leeds, Saints or Keighley. Because i watch the frigging game and don't do as much as possible to cause trouble.
Can't wait for Huddersfield. There'll be the same prats, stood up, calling the stewards every name under the sun, trying their hardest to get thrown out so they can then sing "get a proper job".

| Yeah, can't understand why they were saying that at all. It was even dafter that they let you all in after wards. Initially telling people it was sold out and sending them to the other stand to pay a tenner, but then later transferring everyone to the £20 stand but not asking for any more cash. Why not just let them in in the first place for £20?
I can't seem to get away from the idiots. Home games for me are fine cos i'm now in the Railway End but when we go away i seem to be a magnet for them. I'm no scrooge, like to see people enjoy themselves, have a beer if that's what they want, sing a song or two and create an atmosphere etc, but that lot get right on my tit ends. At least they're a good life lesson for my little lad that comes with me, i can point to them lot and show him what not to become as he grows up.

I was watching a guy as he entered the ground today. He was totally shocked at how bad CP is proclaiming it a dump, hole etc etc. We do seem to have a few fans with a chip on the shoulder that seem to think that our ground is so much of a higher standard than other grounds. I love our ground, away fans like our ground, it's got character and when it's full is a great atmosphere and experience. But as sporting grounds go, WR is a hole tbh, and that's why we're trying to get a new ground built. Craven Park is at least improving and that's all that anyone can ask for. You've only had a couple of season in SL but it's a better ground than when we were there in the NL1 days.
