If anyone thinks Chase shouldn't have been man of the match, I suggest they take it up with the journos who seem to concur and the people who awarded him with it.
The amount of bile directed towards both Rangi and Cas fans for his MoM award last night and his Man of Steel award shows just how childish and stupid some people can be.
Cas fans, and Rangi himself, didn't give him the awards. They were given by independent people. If you don't like it, start picketing the people who dole out the awards.
[sarky]
Oh, no. I'm sorry. It's not independent is it. It's an RFL conspiracy. Yes, that's right. The RFL are totally besotted by Rangi and therefore they'll do everything to see him projected in the best light.
[/sarky]
I don't think it's a bad thing for his fans to come on here and congratulate him on the match award. If you want to disagree with the award, fine. However, why not go to the virtual terrace and release your bile there. Or indeed simply grow up, accept what you can't change and move on.
WELL DONE RANGI. YOU'VE MADE YOUR FANS PROUD OF YOU, MATE.

| I agree that Rangi didn't have the sort of superstar performance he invariably provides in a Cas shirt but as Phil Clarke & Brian Carney noted in the 2nd half, it's a bit different for him at international level cos he's vying for use of the ball with other top playmakers whereas at Cas he is the undisputed number 1.
One or two of the pundits pre-game said it was important that he was allowed to play his own game the same way as he does for Cas but it looked very much like he was playing to a structure and trying to be a traditional number 7. Which throws up a bit of a conundrum cos he's risen to prominence on the back of his 'off the cuff' style of play but that might not neccesarily be best suited to the international side.
As to his MoM award. I was a little surprised that he got it (though not as shocked as Eddie Hemmings) but when I thought about it I couldn't recall another player that had a better game than him.
Sinfield stood out in the 1st half but faded in the 2nd, Roby was decent throughout and Jack Reed showed some nice touches notably his try.
I'd have been happy with any 1 of those 4 being awarded it but Rangi seems to have developed a touch of the 'Steven Gerrards' ie. the press seem to work on the basis of he starts the match as favourite for MoM and another player has to do somert spectacular to take it off him

Or Garreth Carvell who chose to represent Wales? Or Ben Harrison with Ireland?

Well i don't know where that came from, i don't think i mentioned DB
Danny Brough though seeing has you have brought him up born in Yorkshire (England) played for, to name a few
Hull (English)
Castleford (English)
Wakefield (English)
Huddersfield (English)
He's English he should have never played for Scotland, Rangi is a Kiwi and should never have played for England.
I understand you guys love him and i'm not slagging the bloke off or his talent but he shouldn't be playing for England end of.
