Thats only the start tho, Our attendances will keep slowly rising throughout the season IMO, every home game left as the potential to be 9K+ barring the Quinns game. And not only that were improving in EVERY other part of the club.

Your attendance for Quins yesterday was 5412. We have only had that number or fewer at games from Harlequins/London Broncos on THREE Occasions since 1996 - that includes two seasons where we were relegated.

Compare like with like....

Both clubs trying to challenge for a playoff spot, last year...

Wakefield pulled 4883 for Salford and 4371 for Harlequins
Cas pulled 5025 for Salford and 5862 for Harlequins

Congrats to Wakefield for getting their gates up, but they do have a much larger catchment than Castleford, and they still don't seem to be able to attract the crowds to the RSS as Cas do to the Coliseum.

I dont know what Incentive you guys had on ( Wakey ) but thought 5000 V Quins was very good, that coupled with your youth setup being given a chance now makes for very good reading.

The Talent in our area is finally being harvested properly and long may it last for the good of both Cas and Trin

Just wish Sky would stop taking our home games. It's bordering on annoying now. Especially since we can pull 10k-11k v Leeds.

We can put a positive spin on our attendances by comparing them with last season's corresponding fixtures but looking at them in isolation and in the context of results they are poor. I'm sure that 2 years ago we pulled more for Salford on a Saturday evening and without the benefit of a great run of form so the current upward trend is not so impressive anyway.

That said I'm not convinced by the accuracy of the publicised figures. I don't claim to know that Sunday's 6.8k was incorrect put I'm pretty damn sure the increase on the Crusaders gate (6.1k) was a lot more than 700.

Over at BV I remember seeing TV games in recent seasons when the announced crowd was a lot less than it looked but a few weeks ago they insulted everybody's intelligence by claiming over 5k were at the Wire game when there can't have been more than 3.5k there.

I suspect tax, budget and license considerations are playing havoc with the figures at a number of clubs and we're not likely to get the true picture in the current climate.
