| Quote marshman="marshman"I'm going to be as polite as possible here but can the thread derailing trolls kindly feck off this thread. You constantly spoil threads about the stadiums on both boards with your constant arguing and dick measuring. As i say kindly feck off and leave this one to talk of brick buying.'"
Well said Marshy. There was no need for this thread to head off on a tangent about the stadium and I think that given the nature of this fundraising project, and that many fans may choose to use it to make a dedication to an absent friend or loved one, the trolling of some so called Wakefield fans is extremely disrespectful. Unfortunately I've come to expect nothing less of late, with some of the posts I've read on here.

There's been no mention that I've seen of how many are available but there will be a limit. I was thinking that the price may put people off but having thought about what the purchaser is actually getting, I think many will see the benefit.

I can see thousands of these selling, not everyone will be buying just the odd one or two. Its going to cost me a few quid for the family thats for sure

| Excellent idea, the fact that fans have put this forward and the club has listened is good news too. Some people i have talked to think the price is a bit steep but considering it will last a life time and it means you can say 'i did my bit to get the ground built' i think its a bargain.
As i put on the other forum i also think you should be able to buy a brick from wheldon road (and maybe some of the pitch) as i'm sure lots of people would like to buy there own bit of history.
Ignore the wakey trolls there obviously panicking about having no owners/taxman/having such a weak team/the secretary of state or whatever other calamity they are going through this week.

| I have said it before and I'll say it again now. The fans have to come out and back the club. We will have a very important part to play this season and the future beyond and I urge everyone to go out and participate in these fundraising schemes or by buying shirts, STs etc.
The stronger we are, the harder we will be to kick out. Let's not forget that whilst the stadium is important, we have to be stronger as a business as a whole.

| Thing is too, it might not just be Cas fans who want to buy bricks. It'd be great for people from other teams to buy them an see them whenever they play Cas. Albeit nice messages on them.

| Great idea but a few thoughts:
1. Why the limit on the number of bricks? the whole idea is to raise funds towards a new stadium so the more sold the better-
2. Why so expensive, it has taken it out of the range of many ordinary fans who would jump at the chance, including kids who just can't afford £50, surely 5000 bricks at £25 is much better than 1000 at £50.
3. Why stop at bricks on the stadium wall, a walkway leading to the ground with engraved names on block paving, eg Old Trafford
4. Are the bricks going to be censored to make sure all the comments are suitable? - (Several hundred bricks "We all hate Leeds " - could get a bit repetitive - lol - Seriously who is going to decide what is/isn't appropriate?)

It costs in the first place to get things engraved which is i'm guessing is why it's a higher price. £50 isn't alot at all. It's probably the amount most kids get on a birthday? Not a bad present to be honest? It'll be there for a lifetime?
Someone is probably going to have to check what's on each brick is appropriate too, that'd cost?
