castleford panthers u8s finished has league winners of the scarborough festival,despite loosing their opening match against wigan st judes they never lost again in the next 9 games and finished with a record of played 10 won 7 drawn 2 and lost 1 scoring 23 tries and conceding just 5 to finish with a tally of 16 points, two clear of st judes and newton storm.

Just for anyone who's interested, the above final is being played this evening at Normanton knights ground between my team Swillington Storm and Methley Royals, KO 19:00.

had there annual presention evening saturday night.
but the event was not a happy one. as one off the players (ben cringle) was unable to attend
due to braking an ankle in the morning playing for the Wakefield service area .
All the parents and players would like to wish ben a speedy recovery from his injuries.

Swillington Storm 8-32 Methey Royals (Oulton Raiders ringers)

unfortunately we got beat by a better side on the night, we didn't turn up for the first 20 mins. I thought the game was much closer than the scoreline suggests.

Aye mate. Good effort from Swilly. Just a few too many mistakes, dropped balls etc when you had the pressure on them and needed the score. A bit like watching Cas tbh.

Made a good effort late on to get back in to it but by then i think a few were just a bit too tired. Good effort again for your first season back though.
