The fact is, you personally have no idea why a Club would accept one offer over another. Making a claim that every Club should get the same response as Cas got is very naive.

Wakefield have documented financial issues and selling their best player would possibly ease those worries,however they want to establish themselves as a top 8 playoff team,selling their best player to a rival wont make that happen

It's fine to have opinions as long as you're prepared to have them challenged when they venture into 'patently stupid' territory. Before Castleford signed Rangi Chase from St,George, had you ever heard of him?, he was a total unknown, on the fringes of the NRL, not getting into the first team, then Cas took the punt & signed this unknown lad, who has played the best part of his carrier for Cas.
At Cas he has learnt his trade & turned into one of the hottest properties in our game, who knows Cas might invest in a new unknown youngster who does the job for us, only time will tell, but if Noble wants Chase to play to a structured game plan, he wont be getting the same player who's Maverick style makes him the great player he is.

Come on, he was hardly 'Neville Nobody' when you guys signed him. He may have had baggage but people were aware of his talent. He already had 30-odd NRL games under his belt.

Fair play to Cas for having the foresight to pick him up but let's not mythologise too much.

Noble for me isn't a superb coach - he certainly isn't getting much out of your players at the moment (though that may be for a number of other reasons)

Wayne Bennett couldn't get anything out if most of the players we have now! The fact is that the team Salford have now bar about 5 players is made up if either last years fringe players or last years academy, like they say you can't polish a turd, but put a solid silver jug in front of Noble and ill thing he'll shine it up quite well.

That can be said of many players for instance we signed a forth choice Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs half back called Daniel Holdsworth little was known of him and the Dogs fans wern't bothered when Salford came calling. Look at him now on his way to Wembley with Hull FC with Wiggy and Baldy waxing lyrical about him constantly as though he was the Messiah. Not to mention Joel Moon who then coach Matt Parish brought with him.

We have really had our pants pulled down with this deal and it really has got me feeling like what's the point and am seriously considering not renewing my season ticket and just going to a few games through the season (which never felt like before !!!!). Selling our best player for a pittance plus a player who doesn't want to be here on loan isn't the best way to sell season tickets and get people excited over the club..... Disgrace
