| Ok guys I think it's time we all grew up a bit, cut out the bitterness and sniping and kept threads on topic. There are plenty of unsavoury factors that both sets of fans can continue to dig up, but is it really worth it?
The salary cap debate, whatever your opinions on it, is in the past. Whilst the general belief amongst Cas fans, given Wigan's subsequent points deduction, is that we were the victims of it, it was a different regime and shouldn't be a cause for ongoing bitterness. It's unfortunate that it seems to rear its ugly head at least twice a year when we meet. All some of us really want is exactly what we've had this year - two great battles between two traditional RL rivals.

Recruited players in 2006 knowing full well you exceeded the cap but also knowing any points deduction would not be till 2007 hence you could buy your way to relegation safety - in turn not giving a monkeys about who your cheating relegated and whos jobs you lost. No way to be that.'"
wrong sunshine,
we deferred payments. The RFL decided they didnt like it but did us for breaking the "spirit of the cap". All NRL clubs do it, but the RL didnt like it because it was wigan.

Technically, he's right then. To defer payments (or have to) you'd have to spend over the limit in the first place.

19862_1323383936.jpg This is Poorhouse Lane. And this is Neil, the rovers supporter who leads an exciting double life. For when Neil sponsors RLFANS an amazing transformation occurs. [color=#80BF40:1y1okols]Neil is Cabbageman[/color:1y1okols]. Ever alert for the call no injury too small!

| Bringing it back on topic. You should be proud of your cheerleaders the Castleford Claws for competing in the Bridlington beach rugby sevens it was 2 hand grab and they were the only girls team in the tournament. All monies raised have gone to the life for a kid charity. I believe there were 2 other Castleford teams there too. so well done to all for raising plenty of money.

Yes.....but why would you need to defer payments? Because without deferring payments you'd have been over the SC. It is simple to understand.

So you'd have no problem if Simon Moran decided he fancied Benji Marshall for the play-offs and would pay him £150k for a month's work, deferred over the next 60 years?
