These games are always tough. When you get sides like Leeds playing in their cup final they often dig deep and find something that little bit extra. Our boys need to somehow get motivated too and get up for this game. It's when you come up against the steady sides you often get caught out. Come on Cas keep switched on, let's not be looking to the cup and Rochdale just yet.

Had it been say, King and Johnson against Huby, Emmitt, Fozzard, Walker, Jackson and Snitch, I think we'd have beat you.

Our kids turned over your team a couple of years back. Think we only had 5 or 6 first graders that night. And if anythings been proven this year, it's that the SL is predictably unpredictable.

It's like that for us every week mate - our entire team is made up of misfits, youngsters and cast-offs from other clubs; every win is against the odds.

And that's what makes your victories particularly more heart-warming, I suppose?

The fact that a bunch of players, written off before the season by most, given short shrift are fighting against the odds to prove those doubters wrong, whether it be fans, fellow players or former employees.

I have no doubt that whether Wakefield are in SL or not, some of those players will go on to better things and some clubs will be looking back and wishing they may have given those players a longer amount of time to prove themselves. Mariano and Johnson are two that spring to mind.

Absolutely right - every win feels like a massive two fingers up to everyone who has written us off, particularly certain sections of the RL media, who had condemned us to relegation before the bids were even submitted.

I'd agree on the two players you mentioned - I'd also add Chris Dean and Stuart Howarth to that list; a bunch of lads who have done their future career prospects no harm at all.
