| Quote: leeds owl "Any Cas fan that wants saints to win should be ashamed of themselves. Rugby League in Yorkshire would be a bigger laughing stock than it is now if it wasn't for the mighty Rhinos. We've flown the flag for the white rose county without any help whatsoever from our fellow Yorkshire teams over the last few years. Didn't any of you do history at school, the battle at Towton and the War of the Roses etc ? Maybe Yorkshire Rugby League just doesn't deserve us.'"
Is that a joke mate, I hate Leeds with a passion, and fev, and Wakey, don't you understand the term derby rivalry. Do you think Manu fans want Man City to win, or Arsenal fans want Spurs to win, I think not.

| Anyone that wanted Saints to win is bitter and embarrassing, why on earth would you want a lancashire team to win it?
Glad Leeds won it and Burrows performance was the best by an individual in a Grand Final. To think some of our idiot fans didn't want him when there were silly rumours going round that he was signing for us earlier in the season
Hes been fantastic filling in at hooker, but nahhh lets stick with Hudson!

Hopefully, Hudson won't get a sniff next season with Milner and Clark around.

If i didn't know better i'd think you were talking about Leeds. Yes we do play exciting rugby league, yes we have been hit hard by injuries, and yes 10 of last nights team were brought through our own academy. You were right in so many ways..... you were just talking about the wrong team. Hope you enjoyed another fantastic exhibition of Rugby League at the highest level.

I wanted Saints to win purely because I wanted Michael Shenton to have some success, so not really bitter or embarrassing. Nothing to do with it being a Lancashire team, if he had signed for Leeds, I would have been rooting for them. Regardless, the better team won in a very entertaining final.

Sorry, mate, but it's patronising crap like this that makes people shout for the other team. Nothing to do with being at all bitter. I've got friends and family who've supported Leeds for years and good luck to them.
The problem stems from people like you talking down to me as if I'm a five-year old, when you can't even spell "I" correctly.

Usually, much as people hate this I would support the overseas team- but I will support Leeds this time the way BM and Sinfield spoke after the game and as a squad they seemed to show the humility that sometimes seems to be lacking from the clubs fans on this forum -I will be supporting Leeds.
I am envious of the journey Leeds have been on this season, even if they had lost on Saturday, as a group they will be better next season because they created that "team" and "us against everyone" mentality and I envy that. Any club that captures that and reacts to it in the right way is on to a winner. Even to the point when Bailey was getting involved in something and nothing, his coach pulled him even though the penalty went to Leeds, that says something about the man on the touchline.....
All too often, thinking about our own club we are too quick to demand change and criticise and castigate and it gets tiresome - Look at Chelsea and their managers, coaches and players - you can't buy what Leeds got in their squad this year - I think Saturday was a victory for EVERYONE wanting it more than anything and being prepared for EVERYONE to do ANYTHING it takes for their team goal..... Look at the philosiophy and commitment shown by Burrow, he could have got a neg on with his role and feeling like he was dropped, but everything I read tells me he hated it, took it on the chin and then decided if he was only going to come off the bench, he would resolve to make damn sure he did all he could to influecne the game and give his contribution for the team goal.
That my friends is management..........

While I joined in the summer ridicule of McDermott I have been increasingly impressed by his interviews & comments. The way he has helped Bailey start to realise his potential has been exemplary. I do worry McNamara will not have that perception & Bailey, & the hopeless McIlorum if he plays, will not have the concentration required aginst Aus/NZ & it could cost us dear.

Who was talking to you paranoid android ? My reply was to Pyeman but if you've got an inferiority complex the size of Yorkshire feel free to jump in.

| Surely arrogant would be supreme confidence even whilst struggling to make the top 8 but you also call us fickle, which is it?

This is a public forum. Your comment wasn't addressed specifically to Pyeman, or was the supercilious comment about a "fantastic exhibition of Rugby League at the highest level" not for public consumption? If not, then surely it would be best to use the personal messaging system.
May I also point out another spelling error.... "Georgie Best on a Bloomer" is not spelled "paranoid android." I think you owe someone else an apology!
Why would I feel inferior to someone who can't even get my name right? However, if you're going to try to be condescending, make sure you have your facts right first.

| FOR CRYING OUT FLIPPING LOUD!
Is it the school holidays or something or is this just another thread that descends into name calling. Why don't you both find a conker each and play until there is a winner instead of both wanting to have the last word!
Please can you close this thread Mr Moderator.

That would require the completion of some comprehensive risk assessments and a method statement to be submitted by both participants, for consideration by the next meeting of the Health & Safety Committee.
Furthermore, we don't support the concept of 'winning' - what's important is that people took part and enjoyed themselves.
Other than that, it's a good idea.
