| Its not necessarily the 4th officials fault, every game an interchange official turns up as well, nothing to do with rfl, he is just a local ref who goes that week, normally he does the subs of the home team, the 4th official normally does the away team, and the 4th official writes down who comes on and off, but if he cant see who goes on or off the interchange official is supposed to go up to him and say 10 off 8 on etc, it is then logged for future reference.
He has a folder and the dugout has the cards with numbers on, the player is given the numbered card to give to the io/4th official when he goes onto field, but he is not allowed to do the sub until the player coming off is either within 10m and advancing to touchline or gone off from a try etc behind the sticks or taken off over the far touchline by the doc/physio.
The i/o is meant to stand there quietly watching and getting ready for subs and not allowed to clap etc when a try is scored, but sometimes you cant help it..i know of one who screamed abuse at ganson when he did it at bradford and was shouted at by the m c.

| basically this says that rich owners can have all 17 on the pitch and its fine..... in a close game, that could very well decide who takes the wooden spoon they cheated. they benefited from cheating by winning the game, as there is no way that having an extra player on the pitch and it not. RFL bottled in from the rich owner.
sorry cas, robbed twice!

| we should've done it in the "million pound game"
play 14 players all match, take a tenK fine, relegate wakefield!
...somehow I think the punishment for us would've involved a points deduction.
Can't irritate Saddam, Abu, Alan though can we, or whatever his name is.

| I think the fine is incredibly harsh considering Cas were not guaranteed to score in that time.

| I never expected to receive the 2 points from this outcome, but I feel that the RFL have now set a president, based upon the rumoured league restructuring, I await the time when a team fighting against relegation does the same thing, and ends up staying up in the top flight. A £10K fine will be nothing in comparison to the money lost/gained!

| The fine won't affect Dr Koukash one iota, but imagine (without bias against either of our two clubs) if our clubs were hit with a £10,000 fine, it would cripple us! It was I'd assume a mistake, mistakes do happen, I just think it's an incredible amount of money, that's if the RFL believe it was a mistake!

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

Giving points to Cas was not an option open to the RFL according to their own rules. They could have indirectly benefited by a points deduction to Salford effectively voiding the game.
Instead the RFL top up the bank account. If I was a cynic, I would be keeping my eyes open for new facilities being built at Bradford costing in the region of £10,000.
