For whatever finacial reasons Cas have reigned in their spending on players wages this season - not being privvy to the state of their accounts or current finances I couldnt speculate why.
However the end result is, as Cecil B has quite rightly pointed out. We performed well last year finishing in the top 8 because of some good performances and also because some of the bigger better teams in the league under performed. It would apear that this will probably not happen again this season, meaning we will probably finish around 9 or 10th.
Still lets not let the facts get in the way of slating TM and making it all his fault. Ask yourself this if TM was fired tomorrow and Jesus was signed to replace him in time for Fridays game, with the players at his disposal and presuming he wouldnt be playing himself, do you think Jesus would do any better?
As I said 'reality' not 'mentality'.'"
Spot on with every word, except 'metality'

| OK so we may have overachieved last season, and it may be because other team were noticeably poorer, but the team is for the most the same as last year yet they still play like they don't know what each other is going to do! Should we not be improving if we play with a settled team?! Was that not the excuse when we finished bottom a couple of seasons ago, that the team had so many new faces that it would take time to gel.

Whatever mate, thats the exact mentality i mean. Small minds make us a small club. we're being shown up by the likes of HKR and Wakey face facts.
5 years down the line it'll be ''oh im happy with 8th in NL2''

| I agree with both sides of the argument so i'll quite happily sit on the fence
We are being shown up by Wakey and HKR and for the fact that out of the 3 we have the most experience of being in this league.
However, we need the financial backing of the board, something which has been lacking for a number of years now
TM isn't fully to blame, however his decisions for positions are ridiculous at times. McGoldrick on Sunday was playing 3/4 different positions. Sometimes i just do not understand his thinking

23517.gif George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side.":23517.gif |

| If Matterson has lost the team he wants to have a look in Xscape the night before a match he will definately find them there!!

| well sherwin and chase were gettin on in smawthorne after the game on sunday!!! fact is, we'd of needed are 1st choice 17 to have any chance on sunday.. Wigan were average compared to how they hav been playin and still rattled up nearlly 40 pts( would of ad richards not add an off day wi the boot) who wa missin who would of played??.... evans widders ferris owen. well no suprise there really apart from owen!! we all new we'd be knackered after a few injuries. 1-7 against wigan apart from chase was what we had in div 1. Hudsons cant play a full 80 to save his life so who's captain when he's not on which is usually at least 40mins. cooper was interchanged 4 times on sunday hows can that be good!! wainwright gives 100% every week but wouldnt get in any other super league teams startin 13. and clayton.... there must b better forwards in div 1 than him!!!! and is massey better than boyle?? and the player who's on the most money of all is sat on the bench for 50 mins for what ever reason??? heard we have another loan player today so thts 3 now tut tut. sayin tht, idiot fans throwin bottles on pitch costing 40 grand dont help. thats a decent players wage for a year which we are very short on! avin said all that il be there friday and every week after that hoping cas can turn this season round after all its early days yet. fri is a big match!!! a good win would give us confidence going into easter against wakey but if we loose to celtic at home... think there will be some very unhappy people letting the players no what they think!!

4652.gif I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

Well they were out drinking together on Sunday night, With McGoldrick and Westerman, So they cant hate each other that much... And all of the players are apparently saying the same, They want to play the expansive rugby, The flash stuff, But Matterson isnt allowing it, And unfortunately our forwards arent big enough to batter their way through tackles

That makes about as much sense as David Cameron, not you Kempy, but the concept. If that's what the players want to do then why the hell won't he let them? Cas fans hate boring rugby and to be fair, that's what we've had so far this season.
