| Thought MOTM was Clark or Sneyd.
Too many mistakes in the 2nd half and Leeds just had that bit of extra skill especially in Watkins.
Cas building a good side, it will such a shame if they lose key men such as Clarke, Huby, Hauraki and Sneyd next season.

| Very tough game in tough conditions but we got it spot on in the second half and strangled you out of the game.
Some cracking battles in the forwards which we shaded but I think its safe to say you didn't have enough to stop Watkins out wide when he got decent ball.
Plenty of plaudits this year for Huby ,Clarke ,Shenton and Carney but for me your best player last night was Sneyd he looks potentially a quality 7 and you should be doing everything possible to keep him whilst Kockrash continues his NRL obsession.

| Sneyd was MOM by a mile for me. It's nice to be involved in close and hard fought games again - even if we lose. Last year Rhino's would have put 40+ on us - even is those conditions.

| Great game last night and yes Leeds deserved the win.
Congratulations to Cas who appeared dead on their feet in the last quarter but put on a great defensive display to keep Leeds out.
Sneyd by far MOM and keeps doing things right every time I have seen him.
Clarke and Huby my pick in the forwards and Carney as the explosive prop forward on the wing
As McDermott said our hardest test so far this season.

| I'll be honest. Another 2 days rest like we had and you could have had the energy to beat us. Tough to turn around from a game against sHudds then onto us.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

Agree with all that! Sneyd was MOM for me. I think he deserves an England Knights call up. Still young enough to keep getting better and surely he must have one of the best goal kicking % averages in the league. He doesn't seem to miss many even if he turns his back on it. Anyone know the stats?

If you live in a country where you can get arrested for fishing without a licence, yet you can't get arrested for entering that country illegally, then you know that the country you live in is run by idiots!

| Think we definitely got the best part of the deal with Rangi going to Salford and Sneyd coming to us (albeit on a one year loan). Hopefully we will do our best to prise him away from Salford.

He was at around 86% other week with only Jarrod Sammut better than him.

Percentage kick rates isn't really the best of comparison. Not unless those percentages are split into metres from the posts.
What is undeniable however, is that Sneyd put over a very difficult kick from the touch line with ease.

| First time I've ever walked away from a Leeds match happy in defeat.
We looked absolutely shattered in the second half and to keep Leeds out like we did in the last 20 was absolutely magnificent.
I don't love to admit it, but Leeds are far and out the best side in the comp this year, and as Macca said, that's the hardest they've had to work for a win all season.
The effort and dedication of our players is totally second to none this season considering the same group were taking batterings last year with a supposed "superstar" running the show for us.
Minus the superstar and trophy lined coach - we have a group of men all fighting for the cause under a coach formed from true granite and it's paying dividends.
If we don't win another game but play with that commitment, pride and desire then I won't complain a jot - though I think we will turn most teams in the comp over playing like that.
Takes something when, half way into the season, Castleford Tigers' biggest defeat of the campaign came on Thursday night...... by 8 points.

Good post lad. And don't forget here, that It is that coach, that started the era you were to see at Leeds. He might not have won himself, but he started it all off with what he started.

Given that most Cas kicks come from out wide, I'd say it's bloody good. And I don't need to measure metres to tell you that: look how many tries Carney has scored, and Owen, and Dixon, and Clare.

I was actually defending your post, by pointing out regarding distance from post. My point was the person you were comparing to may not have had the same kick distances.

I think a lot of Leeds fans are keeping their eye on Powell well aware of the work Powell did. AT the time I think he was a bit of a scapegoat - but that's an outsider looking in and I was only a baby at the time myself! I've spoken to a load who are thinking he will end up at Leeds evenatually.
Him and Macca are very much in the same mould and you could tell how pumped both teams were to win. It's refreshing to see, considering Leeds were the Salford of the late 80's and early 90's, how they've put focus into the foundations of the club and are reaping the rewards. No problems with that as a blueprint and there's no doubt Powell, with Gill's assistance and support, is bringing that ethos to Cas
