Actually, I think we did do a good job on him; we limited his game and he had to resort to getting the ball out. The only difference was that the three-quarters were dangerous going forward so he was able to give those runners some decent space.

We had to lose some time, shame it was today though, would have liked to have got the win and then done London. Well done to Salford though, think they will climb the table now Rangi is fit. Good luck to them for the rest of the season unless they are playing us! Let's take it on the chin and come back with a strong performance on Thursday.

It was the usual mixed bag from Rangi - some good stuff interspersed with some bad. The drop goal was a bit galling though considering his inability to kick something similar for us cost us a Challenge Cup final spot a couple of years ago.

Overall Cas weren't good enough, conceding too many penalties and making too many handling errors. We showed how we can play in the last 15 minutes but you can't play for less than a quarter of the game and expect to win against anyone, much less a decent side.

Good effort by Cas fans though who turned up in good numbers. Apart from the young lady who ran on the pitch at the end - no call for that no matter how unhappy you are with the officials performance.

The penalty count was 11-11, Childs was bad for both teams not just Castleford.

Great support from Castleford, I’ll go as far as to suggest it’s the best I have seen at the new stadium. Glad we sent you home disappointed and quiet though.

I thought your boys played well. I was impressed with how they shifted the ball around at times and looked very dangerous.

Looking at your performance yesterday I think you can win all those upcoming games except against Saints. They are the best side I've seen all season so far. You look far better than Warrington at present

I concur. They were outstanding when they played us. Luke Walsh was particularly impressive, as was Roby, Walmsley and Amor.

Agreed Dead Man and John. They took us apart, I was well impressed. Think the only team to challenge them is Leeds.

Walsh is real quality but I think Roby is the main man - outstanding.

Gotta say, was well impressed with the Cas squad yesterday, can see exactly why you were undefeated, the ptb was second only to Stains IMO..

Saints could have a blip with injuries piling up and suspensions. It's a shame the cup weekend is not a week after our game, as it would have been an ideal time to play them.

Just want to get on the horse and put London behind us and get a win from that. We cannot lose that, as I'd consider it an embarrassment the way they are playing and that's with no disrespect to London.

Saints & Leeds have looked a different class to everyone else so far this season and a couple of weeks ago I'd have given us no chance of beating them but Luke Walsh is a massive loss for them. Wakey ran em close on Sunday so we must have a shout if we play somewhere near our best.

Before that though we need 2 points against London. Sundays defeat should ensure there's no complacency.

I said before the Hull game (after the Wigan match) I'd take 2/3 from Hull Salford and London.


I've reitterdated that ever since. Win at London and 6/7 is still a dream start to the first quarter of the season - and IMO 12 points will be enough to stay up this year looking at the bottom 2
