| Quote: Poker Face "When the players go into 'work' tomorrow, they will discuss todays game, analyse it, discuss what they did wrong and discuss what they did right. Each player will analyse his own contribution towards the team. They will be annoyed with themselves if they feel they let their own team mates down / disappointed the supporters - with his own performance. There were 17 of them and each of them will go through that process.
There were 7 thousand of 'us' ! What part did we play in OUR teams performance. When Sarge made the error, did we encourage him to get his confidence back or did we jump on his back and boo him. In the first 20 minutes of the second half, did we stand silent when the team were under the kosh, struggling to get back into the game or did we get behind them, sing and try and lift them. With 20 mins to go, when we were looking for that vital try, did we add to the teams frustration, or help them ?
At the final hooter, seven thousand and 17 of 'us' were on the losing side. I am happy with the part that I played in contributing towards my teams efforts today. How many of our seven thousand 'team' can say that ?!
The most frustrating part of the boo brigade for me begs me to ask this question - Does booing /bagging your team, help the team to win ?!!!'"
What an excellent post and one i totally agree with. That is the main point i've been arguing here and on the doomand gloom board.
BTW, hope you can make lunch tomorrow. There's an extra couple of spuds for you since Disco can't make it and an extra yorkshire pud for agreeing with me.

| Rangi and Sione were dreadful and they were the only two i would blame for Todays defeat.
In all three games i have seen Rangi play so far this year he has been greedy, greedy, greedy. He always looks like he is in two minds whether to pass or not and in the end he never does.Sione hardly ever ran at the opposition line, instead just taking one step sidewards and giving a telegraphed pass.
It took 70mins before TM changed things and brought Netherton and McGoldrick into the half-back roles and then we saw Shenton and Owen get some ball for once.
How come Sherwin didn't play if he's training with the first team, they could at least have him on the bench as a option if not fit enough to start.
Sione could make a descent second-rower,Netherton could do a better job partnering Sherwin than Rangi could.
Ferres and Jones did a great job Today but when the game opens up we need Widders and Sione in the second-row with a offload game,Sherwin,Netherton,McGoldrick,Westerman all linking up with the out-side backs and we could be a really good footballing side this year but not with Rangi and Sione at Half's.
I would stick Rangi on the bench and interchange him with Hudson, you never know, he might actually make a good hooker.
Anyway they are my thought's after game one, which even if you disagree with at least it's better to say were you think we went wrong and say how we could put it right then just slag the whole team off and the equally rose tinted brigade who are just as annoying slagging off other fans who pay good money supporting the team for years through think and thin who have earned the right to express their opinion.
P.S how can ASDA Glasshoughton call themselves a 24hr store when they are only open 10am while 4pm Sundays?BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

| I thought the fans got behind the players fantasticly today.
The only time i heard booing was on the hooter at the end.
Most of that seemed to be through frustration at the result.
Rangi chase is very greedy and imo plays for himself.
The 3/4 passes he put behind the and wingers today was because he's in 2 minds wether to pass or run himself.
I was very dissappointed in him today and looked a totally different player to the one i saw play against wakefield.

| I think people should be able to boo if they want to. Like everybody says you pay your money and you make your choice. I didn't boo yesterday cos I don't think you could fault the effort, we just lacked a bit of direction in the middle of the park.

| My issue with the booing is that I estimate that a large percentage of the boo boys were booing because they expected us to do Quins over. I've seen some outrageous predictions around here as of late. We've done nothing in pre-season to suggest we were going to hammer them. Beating a severely depleted Wakefield team and Fev isn't enough reason to suggest we'd even win.
I understand people saying everyone has the right to cheer/boo as they please, they've paid their money and as such that is their choice. Fair enough, but I strongly feel that that sort of reaction comes too soon. We've got a new team that still need time to gel, time to settle in and they've got the potential to be very good. Booing them isn't going to help, they're going to feel frustrated and this will lead to more mistakes which could cost us games.
We're all supporters, how about we get behind our team and support them?

Not as bad as some would have you think. We were lacking in offence but in defence we were pretty good apart from Luke Dorn's second try.

Tbh the game from start to finish was pretty dire from both sides.
With 20 mins to go i decided to read the Aye of the tiger magazine.
I agree it was the attacking opptions that was non existant.
All credit to our defence, but a lose is a lose and we need to get something on friday or TM could be a coach under sever stress.

He can't be under stress after two games of the season as that seems to be Brian Noble's job after two defeats in a row.
