A bit different, York Court to my knowledge dont have a long history in failing to deliver on their promises unlike RW.
Whilst I have obviously not seen a copy of the letter, I would imagine there was more substance to it, then just we confirm the stadium is fully funded (I also understand it confirmed the stadium would be built before any units as well)

Ain't got a copy, suspect it might go up on the planning portal at some stage. I was just asking your view as you seem to have some knowledge of the planning process and construction and wanted an alternative view as to whether this changed your opinion on the question mark you had over the funding.

All I have seen is the submitted written "evidence statements" which seem to confirm the opposite. Come back when you have a copy.

Pity. You appear to have some knowledge of the process and I asked you genuinely for your view, but you decide to pick up on the way my post was phrased to take the pee.
Perhaps you can provide a reasoned response as to why you think the letter is not that important or wait until it is in the public domain and give your view then?

How can I comment on something I have not seen?
Do I believe that at this moment (Now) the NM Stadium is fully funded? then No I don't - just as I would say at this moment in time GH is not fully funded, although some people would say it is (Subject to the sale of WR).
According to written evidence of the person who was speaking today (J Francis?) the projected Profit from the whole development will be £9,576,143. before any thing is taken by Yorkcourt. Will that fund a Stadium?
And I repeat Sir Rodto procure support for the funding of the stadium and operational costs in a number of ways. I will seek grant funding support from avariety of sources via local government, local organisations and communities, local and national charities, regional, national and European funding schemes. TheCouncil is contributing £2m to the Trust which would be paid by the Trust toYorkcourt towards the construction costs of the stadium. The Trust will also seek to secure other funding support from the Sports Lottery Fund and the Football Trust"
So, is all the funding is in place?

So every comment you make is based on full sight of all information beforehand? Whilst the actual contents of the letter are not known to you or I, I have told you the gist of what was said and your comment above tells me that you don't believe the crux of what York Court have committed to writing. Time will tell if your right or not.

Yes but that is without any grants whatsoever. There is high confidence that a large amount of funding can be sourced, but until there are concrete plans, i.e. full PP, applications cannot formally be made. But don't think for a minute talks with people in high places haven't already happened.

It makes perfect sense doesn't it?
Given Sir Rodder's track record of delivering stadia, I wouldn't be too worried that if the PI goes the right way and with YC's 106 agreement in place to fund the build as per the detail Clan has provided, that a significant amount of grant funding could be attracted to finish the job. I also have it on good authority that a very large organisation has taken an option for naming rights on the stadium if it materialises, so that will be another bonus.
All the jigsaw pieces are on the table - just need Fat Eric to give us the nod and they can begin to be put together.
Alternatively, LCC will win the day and WTW will go down the ter.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

And yes your right if either team doesn't get a new stadium there in big trouble, especially wakefield as they don't own bv and would struggle to pay the rent in the lower leagues which is why why the these new stadiums are vital, welcome to the wonderful world of franchising.'"
The council did NOT fund the LSV , It was grants and private investment , the council agreed to underwrite the project , but didn't need to contribute any cash
