One angle it looked forward, another it looked fine.
It's the 3rd time Cas have dropped points by "questionable" refereering already this season.

24084.jpg Disco - Expansion of the game is a good thing, undoubtedly, but in the main what people simply want to assert is that you don't kill the roots to spread the tree.
The Curtism - The battles are fought on the field and the friends are made in the bar. There's no hatred among real men.

| Not square at ptb penalty in first half but 5 mins earlier telling kr players to be careful as they are splitting at the ptb!
Shoulder charge by Wellar....what about the one on Chase?
40-20 decision by Child and his Oap touchie shocking.
Clarke try, Child said to Tansey I know you ran through but I want to check...
Check for what, a reason not to give?
And Sky's melting man going about how good it would be for Eden to run in the final try.....
Impartiality Eddie style!

| We lost the game due to our shambolic kicking game. It has to be the worst kicking game of any team in the league. Jamie Ellis is totally ineffective and it says a lot about him that we were better for 60 minutes without him.
As for Greg Eden, he didn't have a mare, that is a par for the course game for him. Very capable in the opposition 20, totally dreadful defensively.
As for Sky, when are they ever impartial.
Not going to blame the ref, we didn't get any 50/50's but we'd have lost anyway due to having no ability to control a game / sustain pressure. Poor defeat against another poor team really.

| Feel for you guys in a close match, you got some bad calls.
How three officials miss what they do miss is a mystery.

C'mon he never once blew up against Mason in the first half every tackle he made was round the neck and above.
Lets hope for a good game Friday.

I think it's fair to say both teams would have lost to most NL teams tonight, we were abject, you were a tad worse down the scale than that. What a shambles of a contest...a dream for Sky mind!

Spot on. Everybody could see that Eden can't deal with high kicks, but apart from Tansey's first effort Cas's kicking game was shocking. Even half decent kicks would have won you the game.

I agree with you. Our kicking game is absolutely abysmal. Also all teams conceed penalties during a game but as most we give up lead to tries we should question our defence more.
Like last week we came out 2nd half like they'd been on the crack pipes in the dressing room...drousey as hell and as a result tries were leaked. Whatever the scoreline a winnable game against a poor looking Hull KR side and we couldn't raise our game...disappointed

| The 40/20 decision was spot on.
Looked all the world like it was going to be forty twenty - but then the ball bounced the wrong way and went out before the 20 yard line.
It was a good attempt and you literally didn't get the bounce of the ball on that occasion - but the decision was correct.

We're coming to make some noise!: |
|
| Don't think there are too many Cas or HKR fans that will argue that it was two very poor teams in an abysmal excuse for a rugby league game!
Those complaining about decisions going against you, give it a rest! From a biased HKR point of view there were forward passes, high tackles and clear penalties that were not given against Castleford that would/could have lead to more HKR points!
From a more wider perspective, James Child was inconsistent and gave some calls one way and not the other which was rather strange! It wasn't however all one way and that was the only consistent thing about his officiating!!!

| we lost because we were shocking. simple. Hull KR were rubbish but we had to go one better and be worse. not blaming the ref as it was the same both ways. Our attack is just poor, we struggle with only having Rangi. Jamie Ellis is pants and I knew he wasnt going to be good enough from start of season.

| Result could have gone either way. Neither teams kicking game was up to scratch. One thing that doesn't help Cas is Rangi Chase's attitude. He will get red carded sooner or later. He got away with it at the KC on Lineham and again last night. If you see Burns try Rangi elbowed Travis in the face after he had grounded the ball and then again later in the game had to be told by Child to cut out the head shots after again trying to get a response from Burns with another head shot.

| It would help if your forwards bent their backs in defence - for the first 20 minutes, I don't think either Mason or Huby put a tackle in that wasn't round the shoulders/head; I thought you were lucky not to end up with a team warning and someone in the bin.
I'd also agree with Brian Carney's comments - if your only play-maker would put his energies into playing the game rather than sulking and hunting cheap shots, you'd turn some of these close defeats into wins; he's one of the few players in SL who can turn a game on his own, but his attitude is dreadful.
Not a game for the purist, but an enjoyable scrap in terrible conditions; credit to those of you who braved the conditions and made the trip over - hope you had your thermals on.

| I know it's early but is there any news on the Webster injury?
He was outstanding until he had to leave the pitch.

| Even as a Cas fan I thought the ref got about as much wrong for Hull KR as he did for us, -either way he was not up to the task.
I see lots of comments on here about the kicking game (Millward said the same on the BBC). While it was undoubtably rubbish, I would also say that it was just one of the basics that were poor...the handling errors were numerous and yet again the tackling was very poor.
After a drubbing at Hull and throwing away a lead last week, it does not seem that much is being done on the training pitch to address these fundamentally weak areas.
