If this is true then all we need is for the potential sponsor to be named and it will all come out into the open. Its what the fans deserve at least.

Look on the bright side - we went a full year without any sponsorship money. Wakey have a chance to get a new sponsor in now. Shame about the shirts been messed up though.'"
Good luck with that, my moneys on you not having the last laugh.

Steve Ferres and Foz found a potential sponsor to the tune of 750k.SF explained to the board the sponsor would only part with the cash if it is to be used on developing the ground, signing players etc. They wouldn't part with the cash if the two directors were simply going to take the cash out. SF explained they could take the money out in time when the club was in a better place to do so. JF and RW weren't happy to do this. The rest we know. Don't ask me to name my source as I can't. But I can assure you this is correct. I don't blame either of them for leaving.'"
Makes you wonder if the 2 stories are linked. SF & NF try to introduce a new sponsor which is turned down. NF takes the potential sponsor to Wakey with him to replace Eric France Metals ?

If this is true, it is disgaceful behaviour by JF and RW. Expecting the CEO and Commercial Manager to attract sponsors to the club in order to line their own pockets at this moment in time.
But , we will never know if it's true unless, as Tigerade says, the potential / lost sponsor blows the whistle on this bunch.

A bit of wishful thinking there old boy. Yes they have gone bust and they do owe us, but not 100k. The whole deal wasn't worth much more than that.

Unfortunately Vasty, the club itself has been quoted saying that the collapse has left you with a six figure shortfall which could be anywhere upwards from £100,000. There were already rumours that you were heavily in debt again prior to EF going belly up. Tough times ahead for both our clubs by the looks of things.

| The whole deal was circa 100K p.a. This deal was paid in monthly installments and the last 2 or probably now 3 i believe haven't been paid. So providing Wakey can get a replacement sponsor relatively quickly then the losses can be kept to a minimum. And as the EF deal wasn't actually that good there is a chance that some of the loss could be clawed back by securing a better overall deal.
Wakey have had wind of this for a while and AG has already intimated that talks have taken place on a replacement. Maybe Fozz has brought his contacts book with him.....

Everything fine then aboard the good ship Trinity. Nothing to worry about.
