Sadly he's not the decent young man that i watched as a junior and it just shows how easy it is to get into trouble, hopefully he can move forward with his life and put it behind him.

Most young lads are very nice lads to talk to, Owen is no different, its when they go out , get drunk & it takes nothing for some people to want to fight

As a "young lad" 6th form student, I had the misfortune of seeing him regularly; nice to talk to doesn't spring to mind as I found him one of the most obnoxious and arrogant young men I have come across.
From what I here of Richard, he has taken those personality traits with him and I am not surprised he finds himself in such problems.
A young man hyped up beyond his talents, without the wisdom to see things as they should be seen.
Sadly it was ever going to be thus, in defence of him (sort of) I'm certain he won't be the last.

Every time i have seen him he always has time to talk, and never have i seen him being obnoxious to-wards any person, or not have time for them, but i have never seen him drunk, mast players seem to like to get popped up & god nows why, there is a fare few clubs with players who get in to trouble, some regularly & you will now one player, as you see him weekly

Sport is simply a reflection of society. Plenty of young blokes get popped up and have a fight at the weekend throughout the UK, but professional sportsmen are targets for trouble and of course if they get into bother its highly publicised in the press.

The only way for them to avoid this is to not drink or at worst drink in moderation but that's easy to say in hindsight and not so easy to do when you're a young bloke in your 20's!

Most of the highly succesful, decorated and highly rated players in most sports are ones you very rarely see in the headlines or in the boozer.

That is not to say they don't go and they dont let their hair down, but they are careful about how they go about it, where they go about it and with whom.

Fighting in ponty is common, what Millward should do is make it out of bounds, nothing has changed since i went with the mates some years ago in some pubs you only have to look at some one and there ready to knock your head off, keep them away and they wont be any bother i know they are professionals but they are still mainly kids
