| If we can get back on topic, i'm not to optimistic about our chances on this one, we are down to the bare bones and even when we have been near full strength this season we've often looked like a poor imitation of last years side.

| It will be even more difficult now that Widnes have signed O'Carroll.

| Widnes also have several players out injured too.Be a close game, but i think if O Carroll is fit this be a boost for forward power.

| I think its going to be a close one where either team could just edge it. Chase being out is a massive blow for you, but our defence is pretty shocking and work in progress. Tough one to call.

| Why does everyone think we'll lose because Chase is missing? Last time we played Widnes on 7th May we had no Chase and won comfortably.
Last time we played Ganson was ref too. He's ref this time.
I believe that we will win. We have the forwards to dominate the game and you are guaranteed at least 4 pens off Pickersgill and Cross alone.

Given Owen's propensity of making errors I think Youngquest can do just an adequate job at FB.
As for Clark, maybe so but I have the confidence that Milner can step up just as well.
Looking at the team - we also didn't have Holmes or Jackson back in the squad then. Our pack is very strong and if they dominate, they can set the platform for Goldy and Orr to work magic.

deluded. At best we'll scrape a 4 point win against the worst side in the league, a team who wouldn't be top 3 in the championship. < That is at best. Still think we'll lose. Milner doesn't offer the same as clark at hooker, in fact, he's completely different, less effective in attack, good in defence.

Clarke and Milner are completely different - Milner will play a pattern and a plan and put on the plays the halves tell him to the majority of the time and allow there to be one chef in the kitchen.
Clarke is completely different, on the one hand you have the variety and unpredictability, but on the other hand, your halves will not get the plays they want when they want them, only when he wants - this is more of an issue with younger players that are trying to mke their own names in the game.
Different players for different scenarios and I actually happen to think as a pair, they are brilliant in the 17. For Monday it is actually a day for concentration, game management, set management and completion, not fancy gubbins. First team in front by two scores I fancy to win, that should be enough to dent the armour of the others belief. If Widnes get 12-0 inside 20 minutes, it could stink like my gym bag by half time.

| Not been keeping an eye on the situation, but is Chase available to play tomorrow night following his (cough) indesgretion or is he "banned for a longer period"?
