| If you had always sat in the same seat, and Fully decided he was going to sit there now because of a nice throw he had put on his sofa but didn't tell you he would have people on hand to make sure the seat was his until you had nearly taken your seat.
Such a fuss would not be getting kicked up if people knew before purchasing what they were getting.
General admission tickets or stated section.

| Don't know how I got dragged into this but anyhoo away from that, it's quite simply the principle.
I'm sure the majority of fans between both clubs have common-sense and have integrated well before. Wakefield fans have been telling us all season long that they have some fans in with ours at that North End.
Logistically, I cannot see how it is going to be enforced. James Elston has replied to me stating I can stand behind the posts should I so wish. This is purely so that all fans are together; if this is the case, why the need for the pretty forthright instructions and pretty read squares. I am confident that both sets of fans have enough sense about them to know their own fans and where they want to stand.
As people have said tickets have been sold to fans on the premise of it being general standing. General standing means I can stand anywhere that is standing.

| This does seem to be a bit of a storm in a teacup. The majority of old style stadiums now have a restricted area where the away fans can stand which just happens to not be undercover - Leeds, Bradford, Hull KR etc.
With Wakey taking this stance it seems Cas are the only team in an old style stadium who will allow away fans to stand anywhere they like and for me that's how it should stay. People have been suggesting we 'make' the away fans stand at the railway end. Well I usually stand at that end so presumably I wouldn't be able to anymore if that's gonna be away fans only - not good!!

| Sorry for "bringing you into this" Fully, was a tongue in cheek analogy- mainly because I know you can take a little light hearted derby banter.
To quote a moron who was paraphrasing another lowlife: "Calm down dears!"
Just follow common sense & stand in the allocated areas, sing for your team & let's all have a great time, all 11k of us!
Safe trip over Tigers fans.
If there is this much fuss over Good Friday can you imagine what It'd be like if you moved to NM!- Again tongue in cheek CT fans.

| Quote: waltontiger "Are Wakey for real?
So 'football segragation' is finally going ahead.....
How will this be enforced? Do all fans have to keep their ticket on them at all times in case the Ticket Gestapo come a calling?
How do the Wakey fans who normally stand in the now Cas Corner feel about being moved?
I know Wakey fans who have stood there for years.
And Why should Cas not retaliate in kind with standing arrangements for the return fixture.
Talk about stirring up a hornets nest before a passionate game, I suggest more stewards may be needed.
Why not leave it up to fans and common sense for where you stand....mind you it is Wakeys game and as such theirs to steward properly should anything happen, their problem with the RFL.....'"
The RFL has been consulted in all this and are in full agreement with what is happening, just as they are with the Featherstone game. The stand will be heavily policed by stewards to ensure that order is maintained. Any fan(s) of either team deemed to be causing an issue in the oppositions designated area will be dealt with appropriately and the relevent authorities informed. This game should be enjoyed by all and any trouble causers from both clubs will be punished.

As I have put on the Wakey forum, would a zero tolerance on drunken behaviour policy not have worked the same?
Just how will the designated areas be marked out?
Will there be no Wakey fans in the Cas areas? or Will it be (hopefully) common sense?
I have stood behind the sticks for 20 odd years with Wakey and Cas fans alike, to be told 2 days before that I cannot now do that just sticks a little, maybe I should email Mr Elston as well......

| Quote: Gronk! "The general admission tickets state that you can be anywhere in the ground that allows standing.
Adding this rule 3 weeks after ticket sales started could (and seemingly has) caused problems.
Just an example here, by changing the rules 2 days before the game a "general admission" ticket is no longer for general admission which is false advertising, so Wakefield now will have to offer a full refund to anyone who will no longer attend the game having already purchased tickets.
It doesn't effect me anyway because I've more important things to do than go to Wakefield.'"
having a hissy fit and you are not going. Why bother to type?

Oh & btw how many WR derby games have you kids been to? WTW fans ALWAYS stand in the Railway end, which is uncovered & has a bar which I am unable to access because I am a visiting fan. Not once did I kick up a fuss, I stood with my bredrin & supported my team come what may. I suggest a few of you grow a pair & remember what your folks told you about being respectful in someone else's house!
Example
The railway end is uncovered but you can stand wherever you like, also the bar there isn't unavailable to you because your a visiting fan, it's a Cas supporters club bar, you have to pay to be a member, most can fans cant use it

Had I not bought me & thee tickets 13 hours ago, I'd happily just not go. As stated, there's going to be wakefield fans in the north east & East. Would love to know how / why they charge more then us too. Put a roof on a stand and suddenly we're not allowed in! From my point of view, they can shove their ty north stand, shove their ty city where the sun don't shine.

| We are allowed in - albeit from the diagram a very small bit.
That being said, with the tickets saying general standing, I don't think Wakefield can prevent us from moving elsewhere should we so wish as long as it's not to cause trouble.

Common sense prevails, if from an unlikely source!
Clearly, Mr G has invested £300k or so in these new stands and it seems reasonable that the loyal WTW fans who have helped him do that should reap the greatest benefit; that seems fair enough to me and I can't see any reason for the over-dramatic dummy spitting that some people are engaging in.
Just think yourselves lucky we don't make like Hull FC and charge you an extra three quid to get in!
