That was also the impression I got from the CTSC Meet the Directors night. But as you say, it's not the end of February any more...

Could the announcement of a third supermarket site have anything to do with the latest delay in an update of whats happening with the stadium plans ?

I think thats a safe assumption. The operators interested in building in Castleford will review every site in depth before making a decision and if rumours are correct in addition to the three sites already vying for a supermarket theres another two possibles that have come forward along with another supermarket to the one widely mentioned and using an alternative developer to Opus. So everything gets delayed that little bit more while everyone jostles for postion.

FWIW I think Opus are still in prime postion and an operator will sign up within the next couple of months. Whether a rival signs up elsewhere with another developer or just walks away remains to be seen.

Think the Board Meeting is still the issue.

So yet again RW issues a statement and fails to fulfill it, why oh why does he do it??

I think you will find its their club and we are just the customers, very loyal customers but thats all.

RW is doing the best he can with a poor hand, trying to finance our ground without the freebies other clubs have had and are in the process of getting, good luck to em I say. But when we get our stadium , it will be something to be proud of , not some scrounged real estate that we will never own.

Cut the BOD a bit of slack they would not do anything to harm their own investment.

Why do you think Opus are involved then? Just to make themselves feel good? Its been stated many times in the press that Opus, along with Palmer capital, are providing fuding for the stadium. And I can guarantee you that both Castleford and Wakefield are getting the £2m from the council. Richard Wright admitted this at the meet the dirctors meeting recently. Cas are paying a share but without the 'freebies' that you spout off about it won't happen. Think about it, the stadium is going to cost £13-15 million. In todays climate Wheldon Road just isn't worth that. Where do you think the shortfall is coming from?

You miss the point Alf , it was Robbo who was selling at 30 quid to get more people involved, but as usual he was not being 100% truthful.
