| The thing I find most pathetic about this thread is the posters frothing at the mouth with lust for Vengeance at GPFC. Seems Cas posters won’t be happy till full public humiliation is complete. Of course it would be wrong to have a go at someone you know to be autistic for a cheap laugh but as you know GPFC had no knowledge what so ever of the lads condition. Using an autistic lad as an excuse to stick the boot into a another poster whose views you don’t like is pretty low in my standards.

I don't think for one moment he would have posted what he did if he thought the poster was autistic, though it is entirely reasonable to expect him to apologise to the poster for an hurt or distress caused, i think we can both agree on that.
As a side issue i think mocking someones grammar or spelling on a forum is pretty pathetic but that just my opinion.

Whether or not he knew the op had a disability he behaved like a bully, using his superior knowledge of grammar and punctuation to try to make the op look foolish. However despite his best efforts his own posting was not without mistakes, and its backfired badly.
I think we all had teachers at school who tried to make themselves look smart at the kids' expense, and he comes across as one of them. Hoisted by his own petard, I have no sympathy for him.

| A simple sorry wouldnt go amiss, but he has not been on here too much since, that in itself says alot... Maybe before he tries to be witty and belittleing he sould think. That post says alot about his own personality and its not a very nice one.

An apology would be an admission! if that makes sense!
I'm sure Sandal could put me right.

| I asked the mods why this was locked because I wanted to support the poster. As it was locked, I sent this via PM to him.
"Don't let anyone put you off speaking your mind. You have a right to an opinion and, as long as you're not abusive or offensive, a right to express it. The original point you made was a very good point and I understood perfectly what you meant - I don't agree with your interpretation, but that does not make you wrong!
These forums can be a right bitch-fest, but YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HEARD - WELL DONE FOR USING IT! "

| Quote: G.Price Fan Club "Quote: G.Price Fan Club "it seems that wakie moan about anything then rather own club focusing on cas it bang out of order to say stuff about richard wright when he has not even objected to new market'"
1. No punctuation [sizewhat so ever[/size.
2. No capital letters on names/place names.
"then" used instead of "than".
3. Opening "sentence" (if you can call it that, as it's totally unpunctuated it's hard to differentiate between different sentences- it's essentially 2 points pushed together without connectives or punctuation) "it seems that wakie moan about anything then rather own club focusing on cas it bang out of order" makes no sense [sizewhat so ever[/size.
4. "new market" is all one word & correctly presented as "Newmarket" (notice the capital letter)
Level 2c- year 3- aged 7-8
If it wasn't for the phrase "it bang out of order" I'd be sure that came from a 7 year old!
Put it this way chum, don't go on "[iAre you smarter than a 10 year old?[/i"
(10 min writing assessment in my break!)'"
Oh dear. If you are going to try and pick fault with the standard of written English, at least write accurately yourself.
(If you still haven't spotted the mistake - 'whatsoever' is one word in the context you are using it, not three.)
And titles (like 'Are You Smarter than a 10 Year Old') should be punctuated with capital letters for key words.
And just to keep you up to speed in the world of education, as you appear to suggest you are a teacher (although I'm not too sure), level 2C is not the expected attainment for Year 3 (it's level 2a) - level 2C would be roughly the expected level for a year 1 (aged 5-6).
I hope you never teach my children.

I doubt he will reply to you for pointing the mistakes out.

| Although I'm reticent to comment on this as it is an emotive subject and you can easily make yourself look foolish and more importantly upset someone you didn't intend to…. but I’ll give it a go:
Personally, it does mildly irritate me when I see obvious spelling mistakes and grammatical errors on here, and when I first started posting I corrected some.....but what I have realised since is that whatever the reason for the poor writing skills, the person is trying to make a point. If I'm part of a forum like this I am wanting to hear and swap opinions, and gossip if I'm being honest, not educating the world.
If it was a verbal exchange instead of written, it would be quite insulting for a well-spoken, perhaps more educated person to point out someone's accent and poor use of English language rather than continue the discussion, so we should treat this forum the same in my opinion.
It would be great if we could give grammar a go but I'll leave that to whoever is typing.
On the particular OP, I would firstly say, well done for posting. All should be welcome on here.
Saying that, entering into an already out of hand argument between Wakefield and Castleford forums was always going to get a slightly more pointed response so you have to be ready. The opinion you want to express is directly related to someone or a group so it is not going to be left hanging there without comment.
I'm sure mcmickeycas doesn't want to be treated as a victim, I’m sure he can handle himself, so all the self-righteous who are having a go at G.PFC need to think about the effect of carrying this torch too far.
I didn't quite understand but I'm assuming you are saying you have a form of autism McMickey. Of course that could mean many things but to be honest, the things picked up by G.Priice Fan Club could have been caused by typing quickly on a mobile. I know I've been there so you are no different to the rest of us in reality.
As it happens, I don't agree with your post. I think Mr Wright has done something wrong, but you are entitled to your opinion and I'll defend your right to do so.
Like everybody else on here, you just have to be wary that when you write something down, it can be misinterpreted just because it is written and not spoken. I'm sure GPFC thought he was just arguing with another fan that he had already been arguing with about this subject and so reacted in a different way than to if he'd known you were new to the forum.
He’s not the only one who has over reacted on this subject, on both sides and I'm sure he regrets it now!
I hope it hasn't put you off posting....especially on your own board. We really should be keeping to our own sides of the fence (and yes I see the irony of my post

It was plain to see for anyone that the OP was a first time poster but as usual, (more so on this forum) Sandal G. Price Wildcat Fan Club jumped in with both feet, all guns blazing, to show his "superiority".
Im sure he does regret it! but only because he has been shown in his true light.
