The simple answer to both questions is: "plenty". A number of players have come from Castleford/Castleford area and a number of players in SL have come through Cas's academy.

But you could also mean is Dewsbury closer to Cas than Cas is to Bradford THEN that is Cleckheaton (from which I take you to mean a trip from Cas to Cleckheaton via Bradford). This time the answer is no. Dewsbury is much closer to Cas than Cas to Cleckheaton via Bradford. However, what relevance this has to a RL forum is unclear, and wouldn't you be better off using AA Milemaster?
This is always a problem. If you live in Agbrigg, Sandal or Wrenthorpe then Castleford is a long way from Wakefield. However, if you live in Sydney, Australia, then Castleford is close to Wakefield. So I suppose you can please yourself on that one.
The word "from" can confuse the issue, here, as indeed can the word "wakey" [sic]. Checking the meaning of the word "from" (
