Quote: Ctrlfc10 "See that's the problem, losing our youngsters to other clubs like watts( England set up this year) bad attitude but clearly Morgan sorted it out, never rated Boyle so he was the right player to offload but it's so annoying that we won't put faith in our youngsters, last year we had mike cooper, chris Tuson and Kyle wood all other teams youngsters while we have jonny walker, JD,ollie Holmes and young brierley, maybe they weren't as good at time but the up and coming season they would have been ready, you can't wait for them to develop only way to develop in super league is play just put them in because I for one wouldn't complain losing as many as we do if there were real cas lads in who had been the opportunity because we will reap the benefits just like St Helens do'"

In all fairness, Tuson, Cooper & Wood did a very good job for us at a difficult time when our form was woeful and injuries were high. But you also need to bare in mind that Walker, Holmes, Arundel, Clark & Milner have all got opportunities at the back end of the season (and have all been fantastic). Maybe TM didn't want to bring them all in at the same time too soon.

But course there going to do ok, they cone from better clubs in fairness, iv read back over my post and gramma was missed out so I apologise for the layout but all my point is for once take a chance on someone a big chance, for instance Ryan brierley this year give him the no.7 jersey, big confidence boost for the lad and play him off because Danny Orr is back yes but his time has been and gone, we will get 1 to 2 good years with him, play brierley in and around him and we could go back to the days of producing good young half backs, like Orr, hardisty, Hepworth, Joyner. Ball is in our court at the end of the day but the fact of the matter is well ever we are not playing him the more he will want to go because rugby league isn't a long career

I have this mate at work who is really pally with one of the cas players and everything he has been told him so far has come true except he said westermen was going to hull so who knows the dixon tale could be wrong too.

Probably (I am not in the Grammar Police) means you could utilise paragraphs or at least the return button after a sentence.

I would also suggest using full stops, capital letters for names, spell-check and just some general coherence [i</grammar nazi>[/i

brierley is not ready for superleague , is a bit lightweight . other clubs would send players like that on a season loan to a champ/champ 1 club to help asses how they handle playing against senior players.Cas dont really do this much as far as i have seen , maybe its due to the small squad but surely brierley would benefit from playing 1st grade in a lower div ,rather than another year in academy .

The problem is with us if we send someone out on loan that's it for them
-Shaun Lunt
-Damien Blanch
-Kirk Netherton
-Andy Kain
-Anthony Thackrey

Fair enough Lunt is the only one worth having back but none of the signs would be positive

And only one of those has gone on to be a solid SL standard player, so the club were right to let them go.

I agree with sending youngsters out on loan. It's their job to then make sure they're too good for that level and show the club that, forcing their way up to SL level. Throwing players in at the deep end can do a lot more harm than good.

If you read what I put I said fair enough only Lunt has become successful.
Although Blanch before his injury was first class! I do agree with loaning players out yes but with the case of a young half back he would be safer and learn better behind a strong and decent super league pack.
In the national league you run risk of him lowering his standards to play a rougher and not as free flowing game.
Kyle Wood for us played very but for Batley and Sheffield wasn't strong enough and wasn't as good, so swings and round abouts so fair enough icon_smile.gif
