| Got to say though i thought andy lynch was awesome for you never took a backward step still wish he was down lane. Also does anyone else find it pathetic that you can tackle the dummy runner anymore when he could end up steaming through on a short ball?

| Said much the same on Sunday. The whole idea of a dummy runner is for him to deceive the defenders into thinking he'll get the ball, drawing them out and opening space for others. If he does such a good job that he gets tackled then he can hardly complain.

Hang around – when have you ever been allowed to tackle a player without the ball, even with the excuse that 'but he might get the ball later'? This isn't gridiron

| There is a difference between a dummy runner and someone who is thrown a short dummy pass. The players are committed to the tackle of the non receiver and cannot always pull out of the tackle. What you are saying is the same as someone who kicks the ball and is then tackled or hit by the opposition who cannot pull out of the tackle, the offender should be penalised and sin binned every time. I could have lived with Ferres being penalised for obstruction but a sin binning was way over the top. I suggest you watch the televised games and see how many times players are sin binned for tackling a player without the ball, it never happens unless it's a professional foul. Cunningham hit Leuluai late last week and was penalised but he wasn't sin binned, as far as i am aware any late challenge on the kicker warrants a sin bin period, of course this does depend on who you are and who you play for.

| Rangi Chase had previously taken out the dummy runner on two occasions which both resulted in Bradford penalties, Thaler then warned Raz about it which gave him no option but to sin bin Ferres because Cas were guilty of repeating the same infringement.

| If cas were guilty of repeat persistent infringments then what was bradfords holding down heath l'estrange layed on nearly every tackle yet they were warned but still no one got binned for it.

| If a dummy runner is tackled, it's a defensive mistake and nothing more. It becomes an offence when a dummy runner does something like change the angle of their run or prevent a defender getting to the ball carrier.
