| arnt really gunna slag mcgoldrick of if its anybodys fault really its tm he moves him about every week and as a rugby player than can do your game no good remember we didnt sign him as a fullback all them years ago so if you put shenton at full back and he has a few bad games are we gunna get on at him maybe if he stays in the same posistion for the next 12 months works on his game and we see no improvement maybe some fans maybe right but otherwise get terry matterson to name his position and c if he keps him there to work and get his confidence back
my honest thoughts the guy aint a full back well others beg to differ

not arguing that point mate, we have seen him at fullback,,standoff and loose and his performance is just the same no mater where you put him, so please tell me is his position none of these as there are not too many more places we can try him, i dont think it matters where you put him its his attitude that is the problem.

| I think you will find when we signed him initially we signed him as a goal kicking centre.
Well I for one can count on 2 fingers the games he pas played in the position we signed him wigan away when we beat them 1st year back with manu etc and played very well and the widnes grand final and he has kicked 1 goal I think. There maybe a coupel of those but I reckon it is less than 5 times.
It is like buying carlos tevez and palying him in every position except the one you bought him to play in.
CRAZY!!!!!!

| Do you know summat guys.
All we had to do in may when sherwin was injured, was get a loan scrum half in from NL1.
Then we could have left goldy at full back where he was playing very well and in a settled position.
Owen could have stayed on the wing, imo hes a winger not a FB.
Rangi chase at 6
New loan player at 7
Instead we struggled on playing players out of position, and imo ryan mcgoldrick is the one that as suffered the most.

All we had to do was pomote a kid - that is the only thing that irks me - if we had promoted an U21 and got beat then we at least gain something out of that in experience terms, but playing Widders as we did was in hindsight an error.
But hindsight is a wonderful thing, if Widders had spent the evening smashing Burrow, McGuire and Diskin every time he jumped out of dummy half - it would be TM for president and a masterstroke.
On balance though, it irks me we have played people out of position and upset the balanced side we had early on in the season, instead of bringing someone on.

4652.gif I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

its not a case of targeting anyone, my point all the way through this post is that he just does not seem to give a toss when he is out there and i dont think this attitude is anywhere near good enough from what is supposed to be one of our senior players, i am not as you call it a boo boy i just want to see some comitment and him earn his money.

Give over, if Goldy went now, some other player (not any of the 'local' lads mind) would cop it if we lost. He is playing no better or no worse than the majority of the team but I don't see other threads with them getting lambasted?

no mate they wouldnt cop it from me at any rate, mcgoldrick is the only one who goes out there week on week makes the same mistakes has the i dont give a to$$ attitude and keeps on getting picked, thats my issue here there maybe other players in the team who are not as good as others in super league but at least they are giving it 100% every week and that is all you can ask for, so no there would be no others just him.

| its the coach ,s fault he moves players all over the pitch ie widders at stand off, rather than picking a player from the lower grades like every other team does

You touch on a good point there. We do seem to be reluctant to put players in from the lower grades, why on earth is that? Is it that much of a risk?
Ryan is class and he does put the effort in. Got to say he'd be my first choicw centre with Shenny, but then Evans has been resigned so I guess he'll be continuing at fullback, stand off, loose forward, etc. Its a Joke, no wonder his form has suffered.
