| Quote: pyeman "You could easily say the same for hudson when he was out, by the time he got back from his injury he had missed more games than he had played, but for some reason that doesnt get a mention (not having a go at the signing oof hudson he's brought alot to the team and i'm glad we have him long term).'"
Yeah but he's not an overseas player is he? We all know that they have to perform week in, week out, to garner faint praise, any bad game then he is a waste of money/a quota spot. There are some 'homegrown' players who can get away with being (below) average without attracting any attention/damnation.
Faint whiff of xenophobia/jingoism if you ask me

Have you taken into account the quality of players around each of them and asked yourself whether Long would have played as many games in NRL as Shifty.

point taken but we play in SL and IMO the better SH out of the two in question for CTRLFC would be SL which is why TM tried to sign Long as did most other coaches in SL. Hull offered big money!

| I find it funny that there is an advert right at the bottom of this thread
"have you been injured?"

Well currentley hudson has missed more game this season than sherwin has and whats more sherwin has played 36 games for us in two seasons so far (with at least 4 possible outings to go) which though it isnt great isnt as poor as alot of people make out, like on the other forum it was said that he has missed more game than he has played which is clearly rubbish.

What a stupid question.
Of course i'm not pleased, i'm pleased if any single player misses any single match through injury, i'm not pleased that hudson has missed 10 sl matches out of of 23 either but as we support a sport where injuries are common place its to be expected that players get injured and when players get injured they miss matches.
On this thread your saying we would have been better off with sean long a player with a much worse injury record, would you be more pleased with long out injured at cas than shifty out injured at cas?

for the record i was just putting my pennith in and i would not have been happy with SL but feel he is a better player than BS...Cas always manage to sign expensive players who spend most of their time in the treatment room.
this is all relative as shifty will be here next season.

Seriously? Can you back up that claim? Does this not happen at other clubs?

Wow, 4 players, we truly do have a reputation for signing players that get injured, sack the BoD. We are no better or no worse than other clubs.
What about all the players we have signed and have been relatively injury free? Care to compile a list of those?
