| Widnes up. Confirmed that Halifax also meet criteria and will go into the pot alongside the existing SL clubs, so it's 13 from 14 on July 26th.

| Congratulations to Widnes but if both Widnes and Halifax met the criteria then I wonder what the deciding factor was for the RFL.
Hard luck Halifax.

| Quote: gingdong "The clause regarding admin has been taken out the clause regarding stadia has not only been amended now there is no limit on ground capacity'"
The only change was that a team in Admin cant be automatically booted out and that ENTERING Admin wouldnt count against a team in there license application. (so the RFL dont loose there loan) They still have to look at the books for the last 3 years regardless of whats gone on, which will hinder both Wakey and Crusaders I would imagine.

Yes. They cant look at one teams books for 3 years and not anothers. E.G. Tigers/Salfords financial records for 3 years, and Wakefields since AG took over last month.
The RFL know this.

| I'd quite like to see a Super League with Widnes, Castleford AND Halifax in it but I realise that there is minimal chance that Crusaders or Quins will ever be kicked out and that would be more or less the only way it could happen.

| In all reality the RFL may as well have said to the big teams to not bother wasting their time even submitting an application.
The only teams that need to write more than their names on top of a peice of paper are Cas, Salford, Wakey and Halifax. The others wont even get looked at. The decision as to which teams are in and out will have already been made. cas not having a stadium ready and Wakey going bust just makes it even easier to justify that decision.
The only thing that will be looked at is the three year forecasts for profitability - which will be the decider between cas, wakey, and Halifax. the benefit we have here is that we would have started the detailed applications & analysis months ago, Wakey only 4 weeks ago (quoted by AG) and cas will have previous years accounts to back up their numbers and forecasts. Given Wakey went bust and have no guarentee of even being in a new stadium their forecasts will literally be a finger in the air. The company has no concrete basis to base any assumptions which it puts in its application

You've confused me even more. wtf are you talking about?
They will look at the financial history of all applicants over the period since the last franchise round in 2008. They will consider both Wakey's and Crusaders' financial records, which includes the administration events. The administration is no longer an automatic loss of a licence in the next round, but it is still a factor when considering bids. One factor. The ground issue is another one factor. There are many factors taken into account.

| I must admit, i'm in favour of expansion, i'm in favour of growing our game (because we want a better, stronger product in the end) but i'm against it at the cost of established clubs who already offer more. But when people put it like mallcmjlm100 it's pretty tough to argue against their post.
