| Quote: berro's best mate "sherwin is well past his best...even at the dogs his game was erratic and full of injury's towards the end.....dont forget he was playing behind a pack which included mason,o'meley, grimaldi, ryan and he still struggled at times.......... if a half-back cannot perform with them infront of you then he never will...'"
And Sonny Bill Williams.

| I think it's pretty obvious we'll need to replace Sherwin at the end of this year due to his age and injuries (though nothing would surprise me). Therefore, it's perfectly reasonable to have a discussion on who might replace him as scrum-half. I'd love Brierly to come in and 'do a Tompkins' but we have to be realistic in that you'd be asking a teenager to take on a pivotal role in the team without any back-up, which is a gamble if you ask me.

| I would like to see an experienced SH, along the lines of Brett Finch, who's remit would also be to mentor Brierley and bring him through for the future to link with Rangi. Easy to say, not easy to do though!!

| Finch is a solid player, played state of origin etc, and plays behind a good pack of forwards at melbourne.
But as Sherwin found out playing behind a massive pack full of international caps in Oz doesnt mean much when our lot
are losing the forward battle here and we expect him to work miracles behind a pack going backwards.
In my opinion its the hardest position in the side to fill,as the likes of Hull and Bradford have proved, money or age no object.

Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

| In the short term to add to the tiny squad why not sign Paul Cooke? A bit of a fruit loop but he can play stand off and move rangi to scrum half! And if Sherwin is fit you can rotate using Rangi and hooker to rest Hudson with Cooke and Sherwin in halfs or stick him at loose if westy needs a break.
I can't see him being at HKR much longer!

| Huddersfield have just given Robinson another deal. Both he and Brough are specialist scrum halves so can't see both of them in the same team, I heard Brough had very high demands.
Hull KR are also said to be interested but again they have Dobson who is very much a 7, couldn't see them playing together either.
I've also been told Brough is going to Warrington but after paying £200k for Myler to play 7 I can't see that either!I think it's a case of wild speculation, probably put around by his agent to get him a good deal wherever he goes next, or even to stay at Wakefield. It has to be said that most 'top' teams have a scrum half signed for 2011 and it wouldn't surprise me to see him stay where he is for another year or two.
