I will be honest to say i would love Shenton to come to Saints the lad is a top quality player and if he is as successful as the great(and the best prop i have ever seen) Kevin Ward i would be more than happy.

After watching TV this week you could be mistaken and think he is called Michael Shenton Who Is Leaving Cas At The End Of The Season, with the amount of times it has been said.

I believe its automatic in the same way that if you dont think every single one of there players is gods gift they start going on about grand finals as if what a team does some how proves that a player must be world class.

I don't know where the rumour about Shenton and Saints came from but I do know that Matterson has been quoted on Sky as saying he will fight to keep him at Cas. As a Saints fan I have mixed feelings about Shenton coming to us. Sure, we need at least one centre next year but Shenton is a Cas product and just as I don't want Saints to lose the likes of Graham and Eastmond, it would be a shame for Cas to lose Shenton, one of their talented home growns. So, as I say, mixed feelings on this one.

thats funny, because i was told fozzard was all but signed up with the polecats for next season, far too many rumours going around at the moment maybe 1 in 20 may prove to be true, afterall richard owen was going to be playing with anyone apart from us next season and he has signed up for 2 years so i think its all a case of wait and see.

I would agree with that statement - Chris Bridge is certainly the best British centre this season. However Ryan Atkins is not in the same league and never will be.

A good centre would have passed it much sooner and provided a simple try, rather than going for it himself and having to produce a good pass to get the try.
